The world of Metro is finally on its way back, with the first reveal and look at the upcoming Metro 2039
True to the word, we have the full reveal and first looks at Metro 2039 after that nice little tease 4A Games gave us at the beginning of the week. Not only all of that, but we have some gameplay and a solid feel for where the title is going. It looks as if Metro 2039 is going to head back into the darkness we all knew from the start, but in a way that is more a reflection of the real-world issues going on and how choices in life can lead to these dark places. That is more of the meta side of things, but I am guessing that Deep Silver will also want you to see just where the game is going to go when it launches this Winter on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That is where the rest of the reveals come in with this first look at the game.
As it all looks, the design for Metro 2039 has been shaped by the ongoing war that started during the cycle of the developer’s run. Something that has truly shaped the minds of those making the game, as they have to deal with the darkness of humanity each day. This is going to be the focus of the story in Metro 2039, as the tunnels have been brought under one banner, but it is one of the worst humanity has to offer. That is where “The Stranger” will be coming in for this story, as we fight the nightmares that plague their brain, along with those that are out there in the world. Even though there are monsters roaming the lands, it looks as if the true monsters will be underground, keeping humanity following their whims. Something that I am sure the team has had to deal with and will help make this story hit home even further, as the source material drives home how these things keep happening for no reason in the real world. Take it as you will, and for those who do not want to be political, there is a little bit of gameplay to look at here.
