New gameplay footage for Metro 2039 is here from gamescom, to give us all a look at the protagonist coming in Metro 2039
We have seen that we are going to be able to be The Stranger from Metro 2039 in real life with the collector’s edition that is coming, and now it is time to see why that is going to be a big deal. During the opening night of gamescom, 4A Games and Deep Silver brought a new look, not only at the game, but how hardcore the new protagonist is going to be out there. Not that any of the protagonists from the previous Metro titles were not as hardcore, but this one is starting to look like they are going to take the win on that. I will let you all be the judge of that, as we have a new look at the world, violence, and The Stranger that we are going to have when this title is ready for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in the near future. Let us dive right in.
Just as we have had with Artyom and other characters in the Metro line of games, here we get to see as The Stranger set out there into the world to do what they do best. That looks like killing and getting information through any means necessary. Not a terrible thing, and it is a good thing that they keep their face covered the whole time, or that could lead to some coming back to help them end with all of their lives. Even if that does seem like it would be a difficult task, since The Stranger does look as if they are tied in deeper with the otherworldly entities that we have seen all over Metro since the first game. Unless this is all a big thing that is only in their head. That could be the case with how some of the elements and effects of the world have been corrupting humanity in general. That could also be why The Stranger is all-in on doing some over-the-top violence to get the answers that we all need out there in the Wastes. I guess we are only going to have to watch the videos and wait for the game to truly be able to see.
Metro 2039 — Renegade
Revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live, the second gameplay trailer for Metro 2039 – Renegade – gives you a further glimpse into the protagonist, The Stranger.
