Another member of the Capes team is out here with some extra firepower coming to the world of Capes at launch
It looks like we are going to be able to set the world ablaze in Capes with our latest hero joining the roster out there. A hero that has Spitfire Interactive testing the waters with not only using the fiery terms literally but also in a figurative way with their personality. Here we have Ignis who will be tossing fire around as needed but also tossing some sweet commentary about the team of Capes as an online personality. I am guessing that they might not have seen how that turned out for other heroes in the past, but maybe this time we will have a happy ending to all of this fire being tossed around out there. Let us look further at what Ignis is going to bring.
Ignis will be bringing in some fire powers to Capes, rather like characters of the Human Torch out there that you might be familiar with. Tossing fire, controlling the battlefield, and also powering up the other characters just a little bit with her own powers. In addition to all of the fire thrown out there, Ignis will also need to absorb the fires out there to build up to her ultimate ability to be used. That way Ignis can devastate the entire battlefield in Capes while also keeping the full team safe out there from the flames. That would be a bit of an issue if friendly fire was on for this as they would be just taking all kinds of damage over time. Have a look at Ignis in action just below in the latest trailer for the character.
Capes — Meet The Team: Ignis
Ignis had a burgeoning career as an on-camera host and personality on the local music and culture beat. Bubbly, cheerful, and with an infectious on-camera personality, she lives much the same life off-camera. Nothing seems to get her down. She doesn’t avoid conflict–she just tries to make the best of the circumstances. Her personal motto is: “If you can’t smile when things are going bad, you’ll spend half your time frowning that you could have spent enjoying yourself.”
On the battlefield, Ignis is a powerful hero and ally who uses fire to deal damage or control areas of combat. She turns up the heat on her allies when they team up with her, adding fire damage to their attacks.

Where do you sit with a character like Ignis in Capes and does it feel like a great character addition? Will we see the terrible side of the online personality worked into the narrative or will it just be the sly comments the team makes all the time? Will the supernova that Ignis can cause be the start of some other thing in the world of the game or will it be hand-waved aside for ease of gameplay? Fire off all of those comments and discussions down below. There is still more for Capes to come before the full launch of the game. Please keep on coming back here to see and hear about all of them as the flow on out there for you all.
