Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Has Even More Gameplay To Pine Over Now

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice — Making A Virtual Human

A bit of new gameplay for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has surfaced as well as some great reveals on just what is going on in Hellblade at the end of the day

Seeing as Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a featured game this month on a few of the other major outlets out there, it should come as no surprise that there will be a lot of new gameplay and looks at the game as it is currently. There is still no release date set down by Ninja Theory for the game, but it does look like it is shaping up to be an amazing game for the PC and PS4 when it does launch sometime in 2017. Given that everything is starting to ramp up for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice here, I’d say it may be an easy guess that we could see it sometime this Summer; although an October-ish release wouldn’t seem too “out there” for me either. None the less it’s coming.

All the posturing here though isn’t what we have here for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice today though. Like I said, many outlets are getting some new gameplay footage and here we are to share it with you. Some of it is recycled from past developer diaries of course, but peppered in are some new great looks at the game in action. I wish there was more on the section of the game where Senua is “blind” and weaponless as that sounds like an amazing section of the game, but the focus here is more on how this is a story-driven title with a bit of combat and not the other way around. Have a look at what is here though.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice — It Isn’t What You Think It Is

Hellblade tells the story of Senua, a Celtic warrior who struggles with psychosis. After her hometown is invaded by Vikings, Senua begins a descent into madness, and she must battle her way through Hell to find redemption.

True to its action pedigree, Ninja Theory is working hard to deliver a story-focused action game that encourages players to learn more about mental illness.

I have been a fan of this game since it was first announced as just Hellblade so long ago. This was also back when Ninja Theory made it sound like the whole project was scrapped when it was really just a small part of the game to show the media out there. Seeing more and more on how the puzzles and story for the game are going to be told, I am extremely happy with how the direction looks to be going. I am fairly certain I fall in the small classification of gamers out there who are going to love Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice as it is a story-driven title and not all about the combat. Although with this new gameplay it definitely looks like both sides of the coin are going to be covered.

What do you think about the new-ish gameplay here for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice? Do you think that the puzzles will get a big of a bogged down feeling or will they all blend in extremely well? Do you think that it will flow just as well as Heavenly Sword did or will there be even more emphasis on story for this game than we’ve already seen? Let us know what you are thinking and let the discussion flow in the comments. You can bet that as we learn more for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice we will have it up on the site for you. Keep your eyes locked in here so you can see and experience it all just before the game launches.
