Have a sneak peek at the opening to MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, with a fun little highlight put together for this cosmic invasion
All of the teasing is coming to an end for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, as we now have a look at all of the animated clips we have seen mixed in with the other videos. As it all looks, these were little bits of the opening animation that Tribute Games is going to give us all when the game launches on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC on December 1st. Most likely, this will be the animation that plays when we spin up MARVEL Cosmic Invasion on our chosen system, as well as give us a little clue into what is going on in the story in general. It also seems to feature many of the characters teaming up that we have seen in the build-up to all of this, so that could be a fun hint on how we might want to go about playing as well.
It is no huge surprise that MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is leaning into the ’90s feel of things out there. Not just with the beat-em-up style of gameplay that we know is coming, but in the look and feel of everything. That is why it is not too surprising that the animation will lean into the ’90s cartoon style when it comes to the animation. Most of you might have already caught onto that with what we have had for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion up to now. What you might have missed out on, and is rather teased in the following video, is that we will have a few other villains in the mix of the fight out there. We knew Annihilus, Thanos, and Galactus were going to be linked in. But in the following video, it also looks like Sauron and M.O.D.O.K. might be some of the other big villains we will need to take down. It makes sense given the heroes and areas of the world we will have to go to, but I don’t recall having them show up before now. Especially since they are not the traditional cosmic villains we would have expected out there.
