New gameplay for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is out there, and it shows off the new gameplay mode for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion
Next week, on November 10th, a new gameplay mode will be dropping out there for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion. This is the new Siege On Castle Doom DLC that Tribute Games has been crafting up for us all and letting loose on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. Along with the new DLC characters that we can play in the core gameplay of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion. Now that your memory has been refreshed for all of that, we can dig into the fact that we have a lot of new gameplay to look at to hype us all up for the DLC’s release. Gameplay that also doesn’t look like it is going to spoil much of anything, except get us ready to take on Doctor Doom once we make it through the castle.
Even though we have almost20 minutes of gameplay to look at for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion‘s new DLC, it is interesting to learn that it isn’t going to spoil much of the experience when we play it. That’s all due to the fact that it looks like the DLC will be filled with many different challenges and doors to go through, so it’ll never feel like we are playing the same thing twice. Not that this LC is going to be a procedurally generated experience, but that the paths we take through the castle will branch so often it’ll feel like it is. All as we fill up the Siege meter and keep Doom’s meter down in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion. The prior being how we build up steam to take on Doctor Doom in the final boss fight, and the latter being a gauge of how hard enemies and defenses will be along the paths. Thankfully, we’ll also have Reed gearing us up with perks and other bonuses along the way so that all of our characters can make it to the end and fight something more of our world and not the bigger alien threat of the core game.
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion — New Game Mode Gameplay
Tribute Games and Dotemu have revealed the first extended gameplay from MARVEL Cosmic Invasion’s upcoming The Siege of Castle Doom DLC. The footage showcases how the DLC’s all-new, buff-granting Castle Doom game mode varies in challenges, rewards, and branching battles from the co-op brawler’s core adventure. The Siege of Castle Doom arrives Nov. 10 on Steam, Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Castle Doom Features
- Race against time as the Siege Gauge fills, and stop Doctor Doom before he can activate the deadly Cosmic Inductor
- Gather Battery Cells and complete challenges to earn defense, damage, or tactical upgrades from a collection of 12 different perks
- Choose your path through Castle Doom’s winding routes and thoughtfully select buffs to alter your combat abilities to become an unstoppable powerhouse
- Whichever path you take and perks you choose, be sure to reach Victor von Doom before the ominous Siege Gauge is full; the castle’s forces grow in power as the gauge fills…
- Permanently unlock new equipment and events from Reed’s Lab after each run, as well as modifiers that will deepen the challenge and potential rewards you’ll encounter in your future attempts
- The Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom himself(!) also join the playable roster in The Siege of Castle Doom. Can you stop Victor von Doom before he can activate the deadly Cosmic Inductor?
Did you think that all of this was going to be procedurally generated when it was first announced for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion? How many times will it take for us to run through the game before we do start to find challenges that are the same? How hard will the fight be against Doom if we have a fully charged siege battery by the time we get there? Will he be unbeatable if we let his gauge fully fill up before we get to the throne room? Let’s talk about all of these questions down in the comment section of the page. We have just about a week until this DLC hits MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, and we’ll keep our eyes open for anything else that could be added into the mix of it all. If we have anything, we’ll add it all to the site for you to enjoy. You can watch for it all here or follow along on all of our socials to see when it all goes down. You’ll be glad to see all of the gameplay one way or another.
