Dying Light: The Beast Is Giving Us All More Blood & Guts

Dying Light: The Beast — Blood & Guts

A new bit of gore is on the way with Dying Light: The Beast as we have to wait a little longer for this new Dying Light title

As if games about the undead and infected coming after us were not bloody enough, here we go with Dying Light: The Beast ramming even more of that brutality into our eyes to make us all squirm. That is not the specific goal of Techland with the game, but they certainly wanted to hit us hard with how rough things might be out there. The world of Dying Light is already a deadly one, and now there will be even more bone-shattering, blood-quenching finishers, and so many more decapitations in the game. At least, when it hits the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this September 19th. Yes, this is also a sad punch to the head that the game has been delayed just a little bit longer to make sure we are going to properly get blood-soaked.

Now that we have that little dirty business out of the way, we can have a look at how much more brutal Dying Light: The Beast is going to be when it launches in a few weeks. My guess is that the delay was partially to make sure this all hit just as hard during live play as it does in the following video showcasing all of the extra blood and guts that will be flying around in the game. It is a brutal world out there, so it would be weird to see pink blood flying everywhere and only glitter bombing all over the map instead. Even if that would be a fun little mode to allow for in Dying Light and allow for other countries to allow the game to go all-out with it. That, or to slowly introduce a younger generation to the types of games they will most likely be playing when they are allowed to buy them legally. For now, we all can watch the blood flow online and dream of the day that we get to have it all over our hands… in the game world, of course.

Dying Light: The Beast — Blood & Guts

Techland offered a glimpse into the increased gore and brutality levels of Dying Light: The Beast in a new trailer titled “Blood & Guts”. And if the title doesn’t give it away, consider this a definitive warning: The video contains extremely brutal and graphic violence – watch it at your own risk!

From the first frame to the last, it delivers a non-stop montage of the most brutal moments of Dying Light: The Beast – including decapitations, bone-shattering slashes, blood-quenching stabs, and cool finishers.

Dying Light: The Beast releases September 19, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.
