The release date for Ninja Gaiden 4 is finally set with this new Ninja Gaiden title coming out much sooner than expected
Those shadows are starting to fall out there for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the recently confirmed release date for Ninja Gaiden 4. A date that I know many have been asking Team Ninja for since the game was announced and now it seems that they and PlatinumGames are ready to share with us all. Also, a release date that will not have Ninja Gaiden fans waiting too much longer to dive back into the IP. Get your pre-orders ready and get ready to hit those shadows on October 21st, 2025. Yeah, we do not need to wait until next year to get this one. Only a few more months of waiting. Thankfully, those months should be easier now that we have more gameplay to digest in the mix of it all out there, too. Let us have a look and see what darkness is finally coming to us all.
I have been playing the Ninja Gaiden series for such a long time now, but it does feel as if the IP has taken a massive swing in a direction that is foreign to me. That is, as the gameplay below will show us, it is more like a DmC title with more of the over-the-top anime style of gameplay and a little less grounded. Granted, we are playing as a mystical ninja, so it makes a bit of sense. It is just weird to see that we are fighting dragons and ghost sharks in the mix of things for Ninja Gaiden in this one. All with the fast and stylized attack modes for the generation who have attention spans of nanoseconds. We have to keep them all engaged somehow, or they will put down the throwing stars and stealth play to move back to the chaos of shooters out there. If you have not been following along with the evolution of the IP, you can get a little look at what is coming in October and see if it will be a title made for you or one that is made for a generation who do not remember the roots of it all.
