A physical edition of Among Ashes is on the way to the PS5 and we get a little more gameplay for Among Ashes
If you were one of the few out there who were holding out on Among Ashes before now, it looks like you are finally going to have one more version of the game to aim to buy. That all comes with the announcement that Rat Cliff Games is offering up a physical edition of the game on the PS5. At least, when it is ready for us all to grab this Summer out there. Unless you want to pre-order it now and skip the digital versions of Among Ashes that are currently on the PS5 and PC. So many options for the game, but there does seem to be a few little extras for the physical version of it all for those who were able to hold out. Sometimes it can be good to wait a bit longer for our games here.
Obviously, this version of Among Ashes comes with the core game to enjoy out there on the PS5. Along with that, it will house a CD version of the game’s soundtrack and come all packaged up in a nice little case for it all. Nothing more than that, and maybe the digital updates that have come out for the game since it originally launched. Just one more way that you can actually own your version of Among Ashes and not have to worry about it getting de-listed from the store and then never being able to play it again. Most likely, as all the platforms still do have that copy check that requires their services to be live still so you can play the game. That is a whole different can of worms to dig into, though, so we will stay focused for now. Have a look at what the game has to offer up and then think about pre-ordering this version of the game if it looks like it will scratch those itches out there.

Set in the early 2000s, Among Ashes begins with a mysterious message from a friend and a strange download link to a retro horror game called Night Call. What starts as a late-night curiosity quickly turns into something far more unsettling.
As you explore Night Call, an eerie, lo-fi world filled with puzzles, hidden rooms, and monstrous threats, you’ll also start noticing strange occurrences in your apartment. The lines between game and reality start to blur, and something about Night Call feels… wrong.
A Game Within A Game
Among Ashes offers a layered horror experience where you play a first-person horror game inside another first-person horror game! In the eerie world of Night Call, you’ll venture through a decaying manor filled with secrets and shadows. Outside of it, in the “real” world, you’ll uncover the disturbing story behind the game’s creation, and the forces it may have awakened.
Some mysteries don’t want to be solved. But if you’re going to survive the night, you’ll have to try.
