A new developer diary for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is out to give us a little more on how the Warhammer 40,000 universe is coming back
The development for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is still raging on as we wait for September 9th to still roll up and give us the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. All great things as Saber Interactive aims to bring the IP to life once more in the third-person view with all its glory. Great things we can see a bit more as we wander through another developer diary and see how they are bringing the Warhammer 40,000 universe back to life in the sequel here and all of the other aspects we can expect in the game. This does include some that are fully pulled from the real-world version of the game that we will get to handle in the digital space now. That will be fun…
Okay, so those of you looking to find something we have yet to see for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 might be a little letdown, as it feels like there is a lot of reprising the aspects we have known so far. The various kinds of gameplay from co-op to PvP that the world will have, as well as the rich lore that has been built over time. The newest thing we have to see here from the developers is that it looks like we might be able to digitally paint and customize our characters in the game just as one might do when playing the miniature version of Warhammer 40,000 out there. A nice little touch for those who like that kind of thing in the real world but lack the funds or skill to bring that all to life. Now, if only we could export and then 3D print these characters when all is said and done…
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 — Developer Diary
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have unveiled a new developer diary video taking you behind the scenes for a glimpse at all the work that is going into their hotly-anticipated third-person action shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Space Marine 2 is now open for pre-orders and will launch September 9 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
From actor Clive Standen as Lieutenant Titus to the art, development, and QA units, today’s video tells the story of the team’s commitment to delivering a game truly worthy of its predecessor, fans’ expectations, and the immeasurable scale of war in the 41st Millenium. Be it the brutal efficiency of the Space Marines, the gigantic scale of the game’s environments, or the unique technology behind the Tyranid swarms – every aspect of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 represents the culmination of what Saber and Focus have strived toward for many years through numerous titles, according to Saber Chief Creative Officer Tim Willits.
By Grit Alone, you will survive.
Was there anything new for the Warhammer 40,000 line that you caught here or was this mostly what we have seen many times already? What else do you think there is to say before the game launches in a few months and will there be some big reveal before then? Would you want to be able to print out your characters as minis for the game or is that still a bit more of a niche thing to offer up out there? Take action down in the comment section and then start that discussion again. When we have more for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, we will share it all with you. Please keep an eye on the site for those updates and the many others we are working on.
