Stay in torpor longer for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 as it looks like we have yet another delay for Bloodlines 2
At this point, it is starting to feel like we are going to need to be an immortal vampire to live long enough to play Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2. The game has, sadly, been hit with yet another delay out there and we are not going to be seeing what The Chinese Room has for u until 2025. It is quotes as being the first part of 2025, so there is a bit of good news for those who have been holding out for Bloodlines 2 still. More of the good news, though, is that this will also be giving the developers the needed time to not only polish the game but add in a few things that have been requested by gamers during all of this time we have been waiting.
So, we do have the same excuse of “polish” added in here, but it also sounds like the delay is here to make sure there is little to no crunch time for Bloodlines 2. A solid and good thing to have out there even if it does make this title get closer and closer to a ten-year development cycle. Thankfully, it does sound as if the team is going to further expand and make each of the clans feel unique as in the tabletop version. All of that and we will be getting a few more endings to experience in Bloodlines 2 so we might be able to keep playing it as long as it has taken for them to build. Here is a full update from the team that offers up an expanded description of all of that, so have a look and see more of the reasons we will be waiting until 2025 for the game now. Then kick back and hope it is all going to be worth it when all is said and done.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Development Update
The Chinese Room’s Alex Skidmore, Creative Director for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, and Mattias Lilja, Deputy CEO for Paradox Interactive, share an update on Bloodlines 2.
To quickly recap, Mattias and Alex share:
- Bloodlines 2’s release window has been updated to the first half of 2025.
- Paradox and The Chinese Room’s commitment to delivering a high-quality action RPG for Vampire fans, new and old.
- Some of the things they’re excited about working on with the additional time.
Were you holding out hope that you would be reclaiming the night in Bloodlines 2 before the end of 2024 or was this expected once again? Will the new endings be truly worth it all and be truly different or will they just be the same thing with very slight changes instead? Will we ever see the full clan roster available in this game or will we always need to go back to the modded version of the original to get all of that? Creep on down to the comment section to discuss all of those thoughts and everything. As new updates for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 come out, we will do what we can to share it all here. Please keep on checking back for all of that and everything else that is out there.
