The Switch versions of Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will have a few classic titles hidden in the mix
On November 28th the Nintendo Switch will be getting its version of Resident Evil Revelations and Revelations 2 added into the mix. More or less, they will be the same titles we had before when the titles launched but with some optimization for the new platform. Pretty much how every developer out there like Capcom goes when bringing their titles to other platforms. As it turns out though, these versions of Resident Evil Revelations will also be coming along with some other fun little mini-games that the other platforms did not get. So it will almost be like getting four titles for the price of two…but not really…
Before you get too excited over all of this, these extra games will be fun little throwbacks to other classics from the team’s past with Resident Evil Revelations 2 getting a title called Ghouls ‘n Homunculi. This will play like the classic Ghouls ‘n Goblins but with Arthur sapped out with Barry Burton and a few other changes to fit the game. Resident Evil Revelations will be getting a target shooter during the load screens that will be called Ghost Ship Panic that will have you shooting all forms of infected as they rush down the screen. You can see them both in action just below in case you cannot wait to see how they all play out.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 — Ghouls ‘n Homunculi
Explore a deadly island as Barry Burton in this 8-bit throwback to Ghouls ‘n Ghosts in a hidden, exclusive Resident Evil Revelations 2 minigame for the Nintendo Switch! Go for the high score and earn rewards that can be used in Raid Mode.
Both of these mini-games will add to your Battle Points for their respective Resident Evil Revelations title. For those wondering, Battle Points are the in-game currency used in the Raid Modes so here is another way to rack up some scratch to unlock more things in said modes. That and to give you something to do while waiting for the game to load up the next part and such. Sadly, I thought load screens were so short now that this would be a terrible idea, but there you go nonetheless.
Resident Evil Revelations — Ghost Ship Panic
Blast your enemies in Ghost Ship Panic, an exclusive minigame for the Nintendo Switch version of Resident Evil Revelations! Go for the high score and earn BP to use in Raid Mode!
What do you think of these new mini-games added in for the Switch versions of Resident Evil Revelations? Do you like what Capcom is doing with the Ghouls ‘n Goblins game or does it seem just wrong to do at this point? Do you think that it will truly add a whole lot to the Battle Point system here or will it be a poor distraction for, what can be assumed now, the long load times in the games? Let us have all of those thoughts and then discuss down in the comments. For more on these versions of Resident Evil Revelations, make sure to stick around here. We will have more as we get closer to the release and you will be glad you stuck it out.
