The prequel to Hello Puppets! is now in the works with Hello Puppets: Midnight Show getting an announcement at this year’s E3
There were definitely a lot more VR titles out at E3 this year and it looks like one IP is going to keep us all going to bed with nightmares after the announcement for Hello Puppets: Midnight Show. The prequel to the title that we had from Otherworld Interactive on the PC a bit ago and now it will be coming back to show off where it all started. Well, at least part of how the whole of Hello Puppets! started, as you always want to leave some threads dangling to be used at a later time. If you want to keep an IP flowing on longer than just a title or two at the very least. Soon we will be able to experience it all and see just how things started off for this title and the world it is all based in. Even if it feels a bit familiar as they always end up doing.
While this title does aim to offer up a bit more of the background story for Hello Puppets!, it also looks like it will bring us some other and terrifying changes to experience. The AI is a bit more advanced as we are hunted down and forced to play a sadistic game of Hide N’ Seek that will feel different each time. The AI bosses will have their own personalities and narratives to go down and explore, even if being a prequel kind of limits how things can play out in the longer run of it all. All while we use the new hiding mechanics to make sure the puppets are not able to bring us to our demise. Yes, Hello Puppets: Midnight Show does sound like it could be any number of other titles in the same line, but it is trying to stand out by changing things up and actually making things feel more random than other night guard style games out there.
