The fourth character for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is out there with the Mystic bringing some of the religion into Hood in general
Things are getting a little more magical in Hood: Outlaws & Legends with the showing of the final character class we will have to play in the game. Well, magical is a bit of a misnomer as it does look like Sumo Newcastle is still trying to keep things a bit more grounded and the Mystic is using more of the natural things to explain some of the magic out there. All of which by inhaling incense or tossing out an inhaled poison to mess with all of the minds out there in the matches. Not exactly what I was expecting in Hood but it is a great twist to have here and see play out with this version of Tooke in the universe.
The Mystic here was once an inquisitor and joining in the way we have seen with the Friar character in the core of the Robin Hood lore. This version looks a bit more intense with a fiery flail to swing around in battle while tossing out poison clouds to obscure vision and drain enemies of their stamina in the match. While inhaling the incense, as mentioned, Tooke will be able to see through walls and help boost others with some extra stamina. That and be the character that can heal the others in the matches for Hood. For those tabletop gamers out there, this looks to be more of a war cleric than just someone sitting around and drinking wine. I am really intrigued by it all.
Hood: Outlaws & Legends — The Mystic
Bring divination and trickery to the battlefield!
Trained at a young age to become an Inquisitor, the Mystic decided to rebel against the government’s iron fist. Bringing mystical abilities to the battlefield, The Mystic can inhale some of his incense to reveal nearby enemies for a short period of time, as well as heal himself and nearby allies. Use it to infiltrate interiors where guards could be lurking around every corner, or refresh your allies during a big fight. Meanwhile, his poisonous smoke bombs can bring unfortunate foes to their knees — or be adapted with perks to heal allies in an area-of-effect.
The Mystic is also a capable melee fighter, with his deadly flail letting him set the pace of combat. Swing it to create space or launch the flail forward to perform a powerful mid-range attack, stunning enemies for a short duration to create an opening for a follow-up.
Did you expect this from the character that we have seen in the past for Hood or does this line up with your thoughts? Do you like the fact that it looks like they are going a little more grounded and actually mystical here or did you want to see someone throwing magic around? Could this be your main character given the perfect balance from combat to healing? Give us those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If there is more for Hood: Outlaws & Legends, we will share it all here for you. Keep checking back for all of that and everything else we may have to share out there.
