The Last Worker — Don’t Be A Robot

The full release of The Last Worker is now scheduled to come out there with The Last Worker hoping into VR this month

Just in case you did not have enough work out there in your life, here we go with more options to take on the hardships that The Last Worker has for us out there. It has been out on the PC for a bit now, but for those looking to experience it all on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and various VR options, you will be able to do all of that on March 30th. This is the new release date we have for The Last Worker with Wolf & Wood wrapping up the extra work that it has taken to get the game to that point. Good news for those that have been able to hold off on diving into this version of end stage capitalism out there.

If you have missed out on The Last Worker up to now, this is a first-person title that has us playing one of the last few human workers in a massive warehouse that has shifted over to robot workers. While we will be going through the normal paces of finding, loading, and shipping items out there, we will also have a full and immersive narrative for the game to experience. Mix in the fact that The Last Worker has an amazing voice cast to help bring them all to life, and it feels like it will be just the perfect story for the time and told through the lens of those that can truly convey it all to us. Have a look and listen to what is going on for the game and see what you can hop into when the end of March comes about.

Get primed for action!

The Last Worker, will be ready for dispatch on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 on Meta Quest 2, PSVR2, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and PC VR.

When you’re the last remaining human working in a fully automated distribution center, watercooler chat is pretty hard to come by – join Kurt (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson) and Skew (Jason Isaacs) on shift as they dispatch dreams, and gain a window into the co-dependent nature of their relationship – regardless of how (jail) broken Skew can get.

The Last Worker is a first-person narrative adventure centered around humanity’s struggle in an increasingly automated world, where humans are being replaced by robots. The game combines a hand-crafted art style created in collaboration with comics legend Mick McMahon (Judge Dredd, 2000 AD) and unique, immersive gameplay mechanics, seamlessly interwoven into a narrative game like no other.

The Last Worker delivers an emotional, thought-provoking story filled with rich characters performed by an all-star cast including:

  • Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, Star Trek Discovery)
  • Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Meg, True Detective)
  • Clare-Hope Ashitey (Riviera, Children of Men)
  • David Hewlett (The Shape of Water, Oddworld New’n’Tasty)
  • Zelda Williams (The Legend of Korra)
  • Tommie Earl Jenkins (Death Stranding, Wednesday)

The Last Worker is scored by Oliver Kraus, known for his collaborations with the likes of Adele, Sia, and Florence and the Machine.

Have you had a chance to experience what The Last Worker has to offer up out there or did you need to hold off until this upcoming release? Will you be aiming to experience it all on the normal consoles or take it for a ride in the VR space out there? Will this be a true commentary on the world out there or will it be just another game for us to play with not much else to offer up to the world? Feel free to go into the comment section and let us all know what you are thinking about this title. If we get more to share for The Last Worker, know it will be delivered here on the site for you.
