The next-gen upgrade for The Elder Scrolls Online is coming to us all here this June to further explore the lush world created
If you are still playing The Elder Scrolls Online and have been hoping to use all of the power the PS5 and Xbox Series X has to offer, then get ready as the update is finally coming. Well, get ready for June to roll up on you as that is when Bethesda is going to be able to get you this upgrade. Officially on June 8th to put it down finally so you can get back to playing your Elder Scrolls Online for now and just know there is an upgrade coming. Solid news for those that have been looking for a revitalized reason to explore the lands and go about all of your quests multiple times over yet again. You have to love when your video games get new life.
You can see some of it in action just below, but Elder Scrolls Online is getting the same general updates that we have seen hit all of the other titles out there that have done this too. Better textures, higher fps, native 4K, and the same general list we do not need to go all the way over. I am sure that the player base out there will be able to enjoy it and there do look like there are some great advancements in the following trailer, but this never felt like something that truly needed to be done. It is a free upgrade for those playing The Elder Scrolls Online already, so that is a nice thing but nothing to resell me on the game once more. Have a look and see if you will be back for another round.
The Elder Scrolls Online — Console Enhanced Preview
Experience Tamriel like never before thanks to the power of the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 with Console Enhanced, a new version of The Elder Scrolls Online that brings next-gen fidelity and performance, completely free for all ESO players. Experience improved textures, reflections, shadows, draw distance, and more with this massive leap forward for the game on next-gen consoles.
Console Enhanced arrives June 8 in tandem with Update 30 for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 and is free for all existing ESO console players.
- Next-Gen Performance: Previously, ESO ran at 30FPS on console, but with the next-generation power of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the game will run at a crisp 60FPS while in “Performance Mode.” If you’re looking for a visual feast, enjoy native 4K at 30FPS in ESO’s “Fidelity Mode.”
- Increased Draw Distance: For players who love to admire ESO’s vast beauty, the game’s draw distance has nearly been doubled, allowing a deeper view of the ever-growing world of Tamriel.
- Improved Loading Times: Moving up to next-generation power means loading times on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 have been nearly cut in half on average, enabling console players to remain immersed in ESO’s stunning world with less waiting.
Have you been sticking to The Elder Scrolls Online on the console or is this an upgrade for a smaller part of the community? Do you think we should have expected more out of this or will this be the way all of these upgrades flow as the cycle carries onward? Do you see some of the PC gamers out there still laughing at the console players for this one and needing to wait so long or will it bring the community closer together now? Give us that feedback and more down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is more for Elder Scrolls Online, know we will have it all here for you to enjoy. Just keep looking for all the updates we will have to offer up.
