A new physical edition for Shame Legacy is on the way to us with the announcement for the Shame Legacy: Cult Edition coming this June
The cult is getting deeper into the world out there for Shame Legacy with another big update here for the game. Not much in the way of gameplay, although Fairyship Games does give some of that, but in the way of how else you can pick the game up. Pick it up in a physical form this June with the newly announced Cult Edition for Shame Legacy. A version that will only be on the PS5 in June, but that does not seem to be detracting from the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC from getting it digitally on May 30th still. It is just one more option to have with a few little extras for those that want to go deeper into the rabbit hole of the cult here.
If you are in the camp of needing everything your game can offer up and want to pick up the Cult Edition for Shame Legacy, we can now dive into what comes with it. Obviously, the PS5 version of the game is in the mix. There will be a nice box to house the game and all of the extras. Extras like a specially designed case for Shame Legacy and a metal postcard that will be in there too. That is it. Not the grandest of physical or collector’s editions for a video game, but this is a smaller title from a smaller team, so we can be happy to just support them while getting the few little extras in the mix. You can see some of that in the following trailer we have for the game now too. There is also some gameplay in the mix for those that are still going to go with the digital version instead of this one. See, there is now something for everyone.
Shame Legacy — The Cult Edition
Meridiem Games has teamed up with publisher Destructive Creations to release a special boxed Cult Edition of the first-person horror game Shame Legacy for PlayStation 5, scheduled to release in June. Shame Legacy is developed by Fairyship Games and Revenant Games and takes players on a terrifying journey set in a cult-occupied village.
Meridiem Games will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and distributing the special boxed Shame Legacy – The Cult Edition, which will be available in specialist stores across Europe this summer. The special edition will include a specially designed case with a unique design as well as a metal postcard.
In Shame Legacy, you attempt to survive the chase of enraged cultists using stealth and escape mechanics. Meanwhile, an eerie danger looms over…
Waking up confused in a 19th-century equivalent of an anger management convention, you quickly realize that: 1. A hunt is taking place, 2. You’re the prey they’re after. The legacy of your family seems to have caught up to you, but maybe not in the way you’d expect. Apparently, an inheritance doesn’t always mean fancy yachts.
If you hope to get to the bottom of it all, you’ve got to move silently and avoid contact. The villagers are all over the place, looking for you. And they’re damn fast if they see or hear you… Your mental ability will come in handy when solving puzzles. So will your cane, which also serves as your defense weapon to fend off attacking villagers.
Getting detected isn’t the end of the world if you’re fast enough and can keep your nerves in check. Having just woken up, the village doctor would have some harsh things to say about your health status and stress resistance. If you find yourself close to the edge, there’s always relief to be found. Disclaimer: This isn’t a drug commercial.
Shame Legacy will be hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 30th, 2023.
How do you feel about the limited physical version of Shame Legacy that will be out there a little later now? Do you think the metal postcard will be more of a lithograph or will it be something you could see sending into the world out there? Can you see spending just a bit more for this package or will you still just go with the digital stuff and call it all a day? Let us discuss all of this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we get more for Shame Legacy to share, we will bring it to you all here too. Just keep checking back in for everything so you do not miss out.
