There is a delay for Terminator: Survivors now and we will have to wait until 2025 to see more of the Terminator universe
It looks as if we are on another of the bad timelines out there, as Terminator: Survivors will not be making that October 24th date for the Early Access on the PC. This also means that we can pretty much expect that anything for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be taking a bit longer too from NACON. Sad news indeed. Moreso when you also add in the fact that Terminator: Survivors is now slated to hit this phase of development in 2025 now. No specific date on when, just next year for now and all for the Early Access to the game and not the final build of it all. So, get ready to have quite a bit of a wait before heading back into this universe to see if you can survive the machines.
All of this comes from the CEO and Creative Director of the NACON Studio Milan and with little else to go on for Terminator: Survivors. There is no specific reason given for this new delay, which is a little weird, but the team is going to need to take at least two more months to get the game working to a place we would be expecting. That timeline is a speculation on our end as that would be close to the minimum of a delay for Terminator: Survivors to place it in January of 2025. It could be longer than that. I would suspect that much too with all of the holidays and time off that usually happens shortly after the initial date we all had. You can read the full statement a little lower down if you want to see for yourself.
Terminator: Survivors — A Resistance In The Making [BTS]
NACON and NACON Studio Milan announced that the early access release on PC (Steam) for Terminator: Survivors, originally scheduled for 24 October 2024, has been put back until 2025. The teams need more time to build a post-apocalyptic world that lives up to the franchise, and to provide an experience that fully meets the players’ expectations.
Marco Ponte, CEO & Creative Director of NACON Studio Milan, made the following statement: “This deferral of the game’s release was a tough decision to make, however we believe that this additional time will enable us to ensure that our vision of the post-apocalyptic world of Terminator meets the expected level of quality.
On behalf of the NACON Studio Milan team, I would like to thank all the players and fans of the franchise for their enthusiastic reception of Terminator: Survivors. We are extremely proud to have this opportunity to work on such an iconic franchise as Terminator, and are eager to reveal more of it to you. Thank you all for support… We’ll be back.”
Are you heartbroken that you will have to wait longer to get more of a Terminator fix out there? Will we see the game drop in the early part of 2025 or will it be further out than that? Could this delay mean we might skip the Early Access stage and instead they will have a full game ready in 2025 without the need to tease us in the lesser form? Wander on down to the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else we can muster up around here. We are going to have more for Terminator: Survivors as we get it all to share. Please keep on checking back for all of those updates and the many others we have lined up along the way too.
