A new video for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin offers up another look at how it could all be linked to the original Final Fantasy
I sure hope you enjoy being teased here, as we have yet one more little teaser for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin to hopefully get us ready for the March 18th release. Yes, I am talking about that kind of tease and not the kind that got most of us into the virtual worlds that Team NINJA and Square Enix have been making for us all over the years. One the will give us a little bit to look at for the game and see maybe how it all builds into the origins of Final Fantasy here in the weird Souls-like title that will be hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We are done teasing and will now get on with what is going on here today.
Now that we are done with that, you can take a look at the latest we have for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. A small clip from a livestream that was held shortly ago that shows a bit of the characters moving between cut scene and gameplay in the mix. Sadly, it was all done in a very low quality and also hard to see where the lines blur between all of that. Not to mention that it is hard to see how any of this is connecting to the original Final Fantasy outside of names given that it is just the crew walking and then staring off at the box art from the original game. Maybe it will make better sense and look better when we can run it on the proper machines and not the low-level social medias that are out there. It is at least something, though.
Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin — Cutscenes & Gameplay
In celebration of the anniversary of the original Final Fantasy’s release, Square Enix showcased new gameplay and cutscenes for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, highlighting the connection between the upcoming action RPG and the first title in the Final Fantasy series.
The latest gameplay footage was headlined by the iconic northern bridge scene from the original Final Fantasy recreated for Final Fantasy Origin — the game offers an alternate retelling of the beloved classic, shedding light on the dark origins of Garland through the journey of protagonist Jack and his comrades.
The Livestream also showcased Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin gameplay, which has seen new adjustments and additions based on player feedback following the release of the second Trial Version. Numerous gameplay elements, including basic and advanced jobs, abilities, equipment, and multiplayer were highlighted through a number of new gameplay videos.
Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store on 18th March 2022.
Have you been expecting more for all of this or will it somehow surprise us all like many other Final Fantasy titles have? Is it odd to have a next-gen game that is linking in to one of the original games with visuals that most will not get without exposition? Are you still on board with the shift in mechanics here or will it work for what the team is trying to do? Give us all of those thoughts and more down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. We will keep sharing all the we can for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, so be sure to keep checking in. I hope you are not going to be let down by any of it.
