A new look at HappyFunland is here to better highlight the various areas in HappyFunland we will explore
I hope you are ready for a new experience to come our way with HappyFunland. A new VR title that Spectral Illusions and Perp Games are hammering away on for the PC and PS5. Not only for those platforms but to utilize the various VR and PSVR2 headsets to further immerse us into the world of HappyFunland. Now, we get to have a short look at the various worlds and lands we are going to need to survive in this amusement park horror title that should be out there soon. How soon? Well, we are going to have to wait a bit longer to get that announcement it would seem.
If you have a feeling that HappyFunland is riffing on one of the happier places on Earth out there, you would not be overly incorrect on any of this. Not only from the setting and log, but now we get a feel for the various “lands” we are going to be surviving. Some lands feel like a fantasy land, an “anywhere USA” land, and a jungle-themed one to name a few. All as we fight and hide from the various things in the park. HappyFunland is supposed to be a comedic horror experience, so maybe that is where all of the extra riffing will come in when the game does finally launch out there. Have a look at the various lands in the following trailer and wait to see if we are going to get even more down the line for it all.
HappyFunland — A Tour Of The Park
Explore the abandoned remains and uncover the dark secrets of Mort Grisly’s HappyFunland theme park, Home of Randy Rodent! A darkly comedic VR horror experience where the fun never dies!
Take a tour of the park in this brand-new trailer!
HappyFunland feels like it is going to be one of those titles that excels only due to the subject matter we are going to experience. Subject matter that looks like it is going to lean on the legal line as closely as possible without needing any of those public domain characters in the world. I mean, the mascot is Randy Rodent to say the least, so that will certainly be a thing if there is not a cease and desist placed out there. Given that there is a hard lean into the PSVR2 with it all, I have a feeling that HappyFunland has already plugged any of those holes so Sony does not need to worry about things at the least.
What do you think about HappyFunland as it all stands and will it be more than a fun horror riff on a beloved IP? Do you like the various lands we are going to get or do you want to see something different in the mix of all of this? Will there be any legal issues down the line or is it certain that the teams have already made sure those would not be an issue at all? Head on down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else that we have in the mix for you all. If there is more for HappyFunland, we will share it all here with you. Please keep on coming back to see and hear all of the updates that we can offer up to the world.
