Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Breaks Down Some Of The Gameplay Features

Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin — Gameplay Features

New gameplay for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has dropped to explain how things will work to bring down Final Fantasy’s first villain

It took a bit of time, but here we go with some solid explanation as to what is going on in Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Explanation that focuses a bit more on the gameplay side of it all, but it is something more as we get ready for that March 18th release date that is almost here. Given how Team NINJA has seemed to break away from the normal Final Fantasy style a bit, it has been something I have been questioning. Things like how the jobs will work and if the combat is going to be closer to the other action versions of the IP or will it be closer to a Souls game than we previously thought. Get ready to have some of that answered here in the latest we have for the game.

The first thing we need to know here is that it looks like we will be facing off with the “first villain” of the Final Fantasy line, as the video dictates. My guess is that it will be more on the Chaos side of things instead of the Garland side, but that is just me. They do seem to have something out there against chaos since the first trailer and now we can make the assumption it is Chaos with a capital C instead. All while using a faster-paced look to the Souls-like gameplay while using the basics of a Final Fantasy game. There will be some kind of time to wait before doing some of the bigger attacks and magics, but a lot of hacking, slashing, and dodging during all of that time.

The jobs system for Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin still feels a little off to me, but looks to be flowing out just as we thought. We will all start out as a Swordsman and then get access to the others along the way. Many we have seen and a few are still hidden for the launch of the game. They all look to have a massive tree system that we will need to unlock to get better skills and abilities too. Unlike many of the past Final Fantasy titles, that I remember, is that we will be able to swap between them on the fly. This feels like it defeats the purpose of it all if we can just slow down the combat, swap to another job, use the skills, then swap back. Why not make it all part of one big job tree at that point? Maybe it will work differently once we have it all in hand.
