Sonic and friends will be back in the saddle with the announcement for Sonic X Shadow Generations coming this Autumn
If you just have not been able to get enough of our little Hedgehog friend as of late, then you will be pleased to know that we are getting more with the announcement for Sonic X Shadow Generations. A title that is on the way to us this Fall for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. A title that will place us back into the worlds where we need to run around and collect all of those coins. Something that SEGA and Sonic Team have been giving us all for quite some time now. This time, though, with a bigger light shining on Shadow and why he might just be the ultimate life form out there in the universe.
In Sonic X Shadow Generations, we are joining up with Shadow and both Classic and Modern Sonic for a bit of a new campaign the run about in. One that promises to give us all some new experiences while also mixing a remaster of one of the classic titles in the line. All with some new bonus content for us to explore and enjoy when not diving into the new bit of story that is going on in this outing. All of which is something far beyond us running around, collecting rings, and saving small animals along the way. Things have shifted greatly since the IP first came about, that is for sure, and now we are just going to keep getting more. Have a look and see what should be coming with the latest little tease for this title.

At this point, to me, it feels as if the Sonic IP has gone full into an anime style of storytelling. That being said there is too much going on and insanely long gaps between solid explanations, so we just have to go along with it. I remember back when adding in a new character was just to give some variety and a basic reason that we needed to play the same game again. Then all of the extra story came in and made things so much more convoluted that things spun out of control. That is just me, though. I am sure that those who have been following along with Sonic for so long now will be glad to see all of the extra dimensions it all goes to. For me, I just hope that there is a short little recap so I know why I am seeing Shadow doing his thing and why we are facing off against giant shadow octopus things.
Have you been able to keep up on all of the Sonic lore over the decades or have you missed why some of the over-the-top things are in the IP? Do you still find the basic running and ring collecting to be fun out there or do you need to have the grand story of it all to keep going? Will you just be diving into the remaster of the classic or will the new story pull you away from the past? Take all of that in and then start the discussion down in the comment section. There should be more for Sonic X Shadow Generations, and when we have that, it will be on the site for you. Please keep on coming back here to see it all and everything else we might have on the site that tickles your fancy.
