Slice Deeper Into The Gameplay Features Coming At Us In Marvel’s Wolverine

Marvel’s Wolverine — Game Features

One last look at the gameplay features for Marvel’s Wolverine is here, and it shows off how Wolverine will be upgraded

The days are starting to get numbered until Marvel’s Wolverine launches on the PS5, and it looks as if Insomniac Games was looking to use gamescom as the perfect springboard to give us what we have all been waiting for. A solid look at the gameplay flow and extra mechanics that we can expect to employ out there in the game when September 15th gets here and we are in the savage world of Wolverine. A different one than we might have expected in the narrative, but one that will offer up some fun new things for the character. All of this is being done with the various gameplay features, even if some diehard fans will complain that it removes certain aspects of the character. Sometimes sacrifices need to be made to give us a fun experience and not specifically one that flows as the comic fans are going to demand of it. Let us all have a look at what is coming in the gameplay loop of it all.

We will glance over the basics that we have seen already for Marvel’s Wolverine with the stealth, slashing, and other bits of combat that have been highlighted. Not to mention the way that he will be healed and how fans have been upset that his clothes will heal back with him. That should all be known by now. What we do get to see here in the newer footage for the game is that we will also have an upgrade tree similar to that of Spider-Man, but with skills just for Wolverine. All of these will need to be watched and implemented to make sure that we are playing the most balanced version of the character that we want. That way we are able to grind through the rest of the story being the reluctant hero. Not just for the sake of the story, but to ensure we are unlocking all of the various costumes and claws along the way, and heading into the various new locations that we can expect to see Logan in. Even if some of them do look as if they will be more for the audience to watch and less of having anything real to offer up. Unless all of this builds into the Nightmares feature that will offer up new challenges to complete, and allow us to replay missions that we have already sliced our way through.

Are you feeling better about Marvel’s Wolverine after seeing how things are going to play out, or are you still upset that you will not get to see a walking skeleton in the game? How do you think that they will handle some of the power loss that will show up with certain mutants in the world, and will that be a reason for Logan to have been powered down from the start? How many of the Nightmare Challenges will there be, and will we have to complete all of them before we can fully beat the game? Let us have that discussed in the comment section of the page here. There are still a few more weeks to go through before Marvel’s Wolverine launches, and we expect there to be a bit more before then.
