A new behind the scenes video for South Park: The Fractured But Whole was revealed at SDCC during the big South Park anniversary panel and it has just that extra spice
This was the year of the 20th season of South Park and as part of the big celebration of it all we had another great look at South Park: The Fractured But Whole out at SDCC. Not only did Ubisoft have a nice museum set up for The Coon and Friends again but this time they had a nice look at the dynamic duo working on the game in the background. That would be the creators of the franchise and the developers working together if you somehow didn’t understand that. All of this though is just another great showing to keep up hating that December 6th is so far away for us to wait to get the game on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC.
In the below video you get to see the whole team working hard on the game and evolving it into a South Park 2.0 kind of game. Pretty much taking all the good stuff from The Stick Of Truth and improving on it and tossing out the stuff that was hated. I can’t remember all that much that I hated before, outside of wanting more, but there you have it. Other things they hit upon is how Ubisoft had a bit of a learning curve to best when it came to the graphics of the game and how the team added more strategy to the combat here. Most of that though was covered before in the E3 discussion a month ago though.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole — Go Behind the Scenes with Trey and Matt
I do have to agree that it was fun to hear about the different names that the team went through before hitting on the head of South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Like the fact that there is a time aspect to it all and the original title was supposed to be The Butthole Of Time instead given the fact that our farts are that powerful now here. Of course the department of “have to take the fun out of everything” said they couldn’t go with that name and now we have The Fractured But Whole. A much better play on words and stab back at the censors for sure. Leave it to these guys to do it.
Are you amped still for South Park: The Fractured But Whole or do you need more before making the leap of faith? How many different options of characters do you think we will get in the final game as we’ve only really seen two types thus far? How do you think the previous game will play into this one? Let us know and discuss in the comments below. For more on South Park: The Fractured But Whole in all of its ways be sure to stay right here. We’ll keep bringing you more as they choose to dole it all out. Gods I hope it is more sooner than later.
