A new location in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shown here as The Hirata Estates shows off a bit more combat of Sekiro as well as how we will approach memory locations
We have been waiting for more gameplay for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and now we have it. At least a very little bit as it looks like Activision is holding up their view of the game since E3 and keeping things held close to the chest for it all. We will take anything that we can as of right now though as it is a new FromSoftware title and it looks to be expanding on what we know from them thus far. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shaking up the normal setting we have had in the past for a different one, and now it looks like some of the combat and traversals will be shaken up just a bit too. All in better with the setting than just to do so it would seem.
What we have here today is a new look at the Hirata Estates in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It is listed as a “memory” location and outside of the core game’s progression. I am sure that will make sense when we actually play it. It also focuses in on how we will be able to take in more of the battleground and use that to our advantage in Sekiro as we grappling hook and swing about killing enemies. Less of the claustrophobic hallways and more of the open and sprawling landscapes. I can get behind that as it does give us a bit more of an edge in these very difficult games.
Of course I say that as I move into the other changes noted here in Sekiro. That being that the group tactics of enemies will be on a higher level. Instances given being along archers firing into combat while you are going melee with other or minions charging in to attack in conjunction with a mini-boss and so on. As if combat in these games where not already dials up to 11. Maybe this is to focus us more on traversal and taking out smaller clusters in stealth while playing Sekiro? Your guess is as good as mine it would seem.
