A new look at the gameplay features coming to Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous offers up more of the Pathfinder fun for all gamers
There has been a whole lot to cover for Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous as of late and with good reason too. There is a whole lot going on in the game that Owlcat Games needs us to know before starting in on September 2nd and then there are all of the other fun things to look at. That is part of what we have here as we see more of the usual for Pathfinder in the features with the character-building system and kingdom systems that we had from Kingmaker coming back. Both of which are fully involved ways to build things as we see in the tabletop version of the IP. They are also tools we will need to min/max for the best use as we set out into the world and defeat all of the demons out there and follow our mythical path along the way. Thankfully, we have had a whole lot of that building up to the coming launch here and now we have more of the same.
For those interested, we have one more look at how mounts will function in Pathfinder here and how that will build into the tactics of combat. The short version of it being that we can use the mount to move further or make their own attacks in addition to our own character’s attacks. There is also a small look at the Crusade Mode that will be in here and is more or less the mass combat rules of everything we will have in the game. We will have to amass an army to fight the demons in Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous, and this is the mode that will have us selecting our General and issuing commands out there to save the world and bring the forces of evil down a peg or two. Hopefully, bring them down all of the pegs they may be on by the end of it all and we become a mythical leader out there.
Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous — Features
The trailer showcases details about crusade mode, along with mounted combat and tactical combat game mechanics. Crusade mode enables players to select their general, change the size of their army, and explore the map of the world. It also shows how many movement points that are left, overall combat morale, army strength, and enemy strengths. Animal companions are useful for mounted combat, as they come with their own full-scale progression systems and levels of customization.
Owlcat Games and META Publishing are excited to remind you that Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous will launch worldwide on PC on September 2nd, 2021. Pre-orders are available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions are slated for release on March 1st, 2022. Prime Matter, Koch Media’s premium gaming label, will distribute the physical console copies.
It also looks like we have a release date for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous in the mix now too. It is not going to be that close to the PC release, as it is set for March 1st of 2022 now with a physical release also planned. I am going to venture a guess that this Pathfinder title will hit the PS5 and Xbox Series X in some way too, but there is not an announcement of an official version yet. Not that playing it with the backward mode is not going to be feasible and fun any way you slice it.
Are you ready to get back in on the Pathfinder run or do you still need more to get you fully on with the game here? Do you think that the mounted combat will be more involved after launch or will it stick to having two characters for the price of one in the long run? Why do you suspect that we are going to have to wait for the game to hit the consoles so far out and will there be a next-gen upgrade for it all? Let us have all of those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you may wish. We will share all that we have for Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous, so be sure to keep a close eye on the site for it all.
