New York is a new dystopia in Nobody Wants To Die as we get a small look at what Nobody Wants To Die holds for the city’s future
The Sci-Fi world is about to get another fun dose of fun added into it with the announcement of Nobody Wants To Die. A title that sounds like it would be a normal horror title, but it looks as if Critical Hit Games and PLAION are not going that path with the game. Instead, we are getting a noir story set in a dystopian New York City for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A story that seems like it is going to ask some fun questions while Nobody Wants To Die gives us some explosive gameplay to experience later this year. Let us dig into what we have to look at and get to know for this title as of right now…
In Nobody Wants To Die, we take on the role of Detective James Karra after going through a near-death experience. Given that immortality is possible in this world, that had to be one Hells of an experience. That or given that this is done by paying a subscription to a megacorporation in the world, our protagonist probably just could not pay. No matter the case, we are taking on a new case that is off-the-books that will have us investigating all manner of things in this neo-noir world to unmask a killer who is out there. All while pushing the limits of what the game’s engine can currently do and maybe putting in some kind of “rewind” mechanism in the mix. That is what we can glean from the following trailer and description of Nobody Wants To Die so far. Have a look and get up to the same speed we are all at as of right now.

Nobody Wants To Die is launching in 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
The concept of Nobody Wants To Die has my eye, most definitely. It is hard to tell what the actual gameplay will be like, but it does give off a solid BioShock vibe to it all. Maybe that is with the noir look and the few gameplay shots making it look like we are in a first-person mode with some special enhancements to augment our body. Not a terrible thing at all, but it is hard to not make that comparison based on what little we get to see that is not cinematic in the game so far. Nonetheless, I am excited to see how Nobody Wants To Die pans out and if it will ask more of those great questions we see coming up in the real world. One that is still hundreds of years behind where this one is supposed to be taking place.
How do you feel about what we have here for Nobody Wants To Die and does it tell a different story for you? Will this be more of a BioShock kind of game or will it stop at the basic looks of the themes out there? Will we get to rewind time in the game or is this going to be a way our detective puts together the crime scenes to figure out what truly happened out there? Head to the comments and type all of those thoughts out there, then discuss them. Nobody Wants To Die is just announced and we know there will be a lot more for it, so please keep on checking back here for all of those updates and the many others that are on the way for this game and the many more like it.
