The release date for Those Who Remain is now set down and most of us gamers will get to experience Those Who Remain this coming May
Talk about a wait of time, but now we have a final release date for Those Who Remain and just when we will get to play the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Yes, the release date is revealed and Wired Productions and Camel 101 are proud to give us… wait, is it not supposed to be coming to the Switch too? Well, Those Who Remain is still coming to the Switch but it will not be getting the same release date as the other platforms. It is sad, but just know it will hit the Switch this coming Summer. Not too far off after it hits all of the other platforms on May 15th of this year. There, now you know the release date for this weird and mind-bending looking title.
Yep, this May will see us entering into the weird world of Those Who Remain as we join Edward in the sleepy town of Dormont as it warps reality and forces him to go down a weird and winding path to bring his family back together. You know, that old little nugget of gameplay to explain why the character is in the situation they are in for the game’s purpose. Although, if that is not how you want to go about it, you can pre-order Those Who Remain on the PS4 or PC to get a nice little prequel comic to fill in that gap a bit. I am hoping it is more to just get us ready and not have any real impact as that does leave two platforms out of the mix here. Unless they have friends that picked it up on said platforms and are willing to share.
Those Who Remain — Release Date
Award-winning publisher, Wired Productions, and up and coming independent studio, Camel 101, have emerged from the darkness to reveal a May 15, 2020 release date for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for Windows PC version of their supernatural adventure-thriller, Those Who Remain. A Nintendo Switch edition is also in development and will be coming summer 2020.
Those Who Remain will be available in Standard and a retail-exclusive Deluxe Edition for PS4 and PC – that is set to include a digital download of the beautifully illustrated comic prequel story, Those Who Remain: Lights Out.
Set in the sleepy town of Dormont, a town in a spiraling split from the fabric of reality, warped by darkness and the deeds of the citizens who reside, Those Who Remain is a story-driven first-person adventure-thriller combining a deeply atmospheric game world with unnerving and tense psychological horror that delves deep into the human psyche.
Edward, a man who had the perfect life, was lured into darkness. Attempting to break off his affair and put his family back on track he drives into the night, unaware of the darkness brewing below Dormont and the cause of recent disappearances. Confront the uncomfortable horrors reflected by the darkness and survive the night as Edward is faced with a test of his sanity, morality and the shadows of evil that lurks below.
Those Who Remain will release on digital stores for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for Windows PC on May 15th, 2020.
