New Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite gameplay is here to show off all of those newly announced characters for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite as well as one of the Infinity Stones
We just had a few more characters for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite revealed to us as well as part of the overall story we can expect in the game’s story mode, but now it is time to see them all in action just a bit. There were another eight characters added in and now we get to see seven more of them in action here with the latest update and gameplay trailer that Capcom has given us all to enjoy. Yes, I said seven as we don’t get to see Rocket Raccoon any more in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite than we have already but at least we get to see Ultron a bit more in action as well as how all of the returning characters have been mixed up as we wait until September 19th to get our hands on the game for our PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
How about we just dive right into some of the fun action we will have for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite? Have a look at the characters we get to see and how things are different and the same as we remember them from the past. Enjoy.
Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite — Gameplay Trailer 2
Watch Ultron, Chun-Li, Hulk, Strider Hiryu, Thor, Chris Redfield and Hawkeye battle in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite plus witness the unique power of the Space Stone!
Yes, that was our first look at how Infinity Stones can be used in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite. In this case it is the Space Stone and it has a few little tricks that we were able to see here in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. The subtle way here is the stone’s Infinity Surge ability that will slowly pull the opponent closer and closer to you while it is activated. Then, as you definitely saw here, is the stone’s Infinity Storm ability that will lock your opponent down to a very limited area for a short amount of time while you can come and go as you please. This all makes perfect sense for the Space Stone and I am sure it will piss off a lot of players in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite when all is said and done.
Now that we’ve been able to see this stone in action for Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite, it does raise the question of how the others will work when activated. Some will obviously be easy to translate like the Power or Time stones; more damage and slowing down/speeding up of characters respectfully. I can see Reality possible switching up physics in the match for the opponent and Mind swapping controls and random intervals, for instance. I guess we could go easy with the Soul stone and leave it with the ability to drain and refill health, but I know I am looking for some new and unique ways to use them in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite. Hopefully we will all find out soon.
What do you think of how the characters are going to fight in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite based on this new bit of gameplay? Does it look like some of the combo strings carry on for too long or is this just how the trailer was clipped? What power do you think each of the stones will bring to the game at the end of the day or will it just mimic the basics mentioned above? Let us know down in the comments and, as always, feel free to discuss. For more on Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite as it comes, be sure to stay here on the site. We will try and have it all for you as well as our own thoughts on each different bit.
