It looks like LEGO Worlds is leaving the Early Access and soon LEGO Worlds will be able to be experienced by PC gamers to console gamers real soon
Since last year gamers have been able to experience LEGO Worlds through Steam’s Early Access of the game. They’ve been able to help TT Games shape the game into something that they want and will hopefully be something that the mass audience out there will also want. At least I am going to guess that is what Warner Bros. wants for the game. Especially now that it looks like LEGO Worlds will not only be hitting the PC but also the PS4 and Xbox One soon. How soon? Well it looks like February 24th is the day that we will all be seeing the game go live. Or at least officially live.
Yes, the date has been set and if you were holding out for LEGO Worlds to be in a production setting then you now have the day to look forward to. If you are just now hearing about the game though, welcome. It is a Minecraft-like title but set in the LEGO universe with all of the building blocks and humor you would expect from a game set there. It may not be your traditional LEGO title and with LEGO Dimensions still being something huge, it will be yet another great distraction from the rest of the world. At least until gamers learn how to seriously troll each other and then it will be a passing fad. Let’s hope that is way down the line.
Have a look at the new announcement for LEGO Worlds and then get ready to join in on the fun. Or let the title pass right by. It’s all up to you in the end but it is interesting to see how the game has progressed and see that it is aiming to bring in the rest of the hardcore gamers out there all at the same time.
LEGO Worlds — Console Announcement
“In LEGO Worlds, players will go on an exciting journey to become a Master Builder, in an open-world made completely of LEGO-built environments,” said Jonathan Smith, Head of Production, TT Games. “Whether customising characters, exploring in vehicles, building structures, or discovering an expansive range of items, characters and creatures throughout the worlds, there’s the freedom to create anything imaginable.”
“LEGO Worlds expands our LEGO videogame franchise with a new experience that embodies all the fun of physical LEGO brick building,” said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros.. “TT Games has created an expansive, digital universe that combines unlimited creativity with the LEGO humour that fans love.”
“LEGO Worlds brings the very essence of LEGO play – building – to the digital world, more than ever before,” said Niels Jørgensen, Vice President, Digital Games for The LEGO Group. “We are excited to bring our physical and digital play models closer together and know it will resonate with our core audience – and engage new ones. We believe LEGO Worlds has the potential to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow through its experience of open-ended creative play.”
Will you be picking up LEGO Worlds when it comes or are you too set in your ways with other similar titles? Do you think that the PC gamers will have an advantage over the console gamers in terms of mechanics or will that have all been thought of already?
