Just How Will South Park: The Fractured But Whole Surpass Its Predecessor

South Park: The Fractured But Whole — Plan To Surpass

A new interview with the developers of South Park: The Fractured But Whole shows off just how they are making this new South Park longer and better

Recently we had the news that South Park: The Fractured But Whole was being delayed until Q1 of 2017 with very little explanation outside of making it a better game and experience for us all. The usual excuse given by developers when they can’t make the deadline. The only difference here is that it looks like Ubisoft is going into a bit of the detail as to why we are waiting for our next adventure into South Park on the PS4, Xbox One, and/or PC as well as a few other things to look forward to. Maybe not any exact details as of yet but the short version of it is that they are trying to surpass what we all fell in love with from The Stick Of Truth.

The longer version of it all comes from the most recent interview that Game Informer was able to conduct for South Park: The Fractured But Whole where the finer details of sorts came out and give a better explanation or idea on why we are waiting longer now. At least in the terms that this game will be longer because there is more being written for it and that the battle system won’t be as repetitive as we saw before. At least those are a couple ways that they are going to expand it all without just dragging things on to make sure we have over 20 hours of gameplay. That number of course pulled at random for emphasis and not anything quoted as of yet. But it would be nice.

With all of that, get ready to sit back and see all of the finer details and ‘pillars’ that they are looking at to make The Fractured But Whole not only the next big RPG for gamers but something that fans of South Park will also want to sink a but-load of time into when it finally launches. My hope is for Valentine’s Day next year as what could be better than going through all of this on the “day of love?” Not much at all. That and it would be great to say that you got your sweetie The Fractured But Whole for V-Day now wouldn’t it?

South Park: The Fractured But Whole — Plan To Surpass

Game Informer interviews Ubisoft San Francisco’s senior producer Jason Schroeder and senior game designer Paul Cross about working with Matt Stone and Trey Parker, what they thought of Obsidian’s South Park: The Stick Of Truth, and the key areas they’re hoping to improve with South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

With all of these new things brought up for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, do you think that it will truly surpass the previous title or will it be on the same level? Does this sate your need for reasons as to why the game was delayed in the first place or was it just something to move attentions away? How do you think the other character classes will play out in the game? Let us know what you are thinking and feel free to discuss in the comments below. For more on South Park as we get it, you’ll want to be stuck right here as we will dump it all on you right on the site here.
