A new developer video for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One offers up some answers to the burning questions Sherlock Holmes fans have for the game
It looks like for a game all about the world’s greatest detective, there are a whole lot of things that the fans cannot figure out or solve for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. Not that we have had a whole lot to go one from Frogwares for this title, we have not, but it looks like some of it could be stuff we might not want to know the answers to just yet. Well, unless the developers have anything to say about it, as we have a new video for this Sherlock Holmes title that tries to answer some of the bigger questions out there that we have yet to be able to piece together. There is still a whole lot of time for it to get out there, but here we go with some of the basics that they felt like we needed to know after bothering them for a while now.
The biggest answer we have here is that this Sherlock Holmes will take us through 40+ hours of story that takes place during the character’s starting years out there. He has not become a seasoned veteran yet and we will see him figure out the first main case with multiple side cases that will feel like main storylines too. All while doing this, he will be able to gain other fashion items and things to change his look and use to gain access to certain parts of the world too. All of which will be set in a fairly open world once we get past the opening section of the game and will have multiple outcomes based on how close to Sherlock Holmes we actually are as we solve the cases. All interesting with some gameplay hopefully in the near future too. Have a look to see some of the other questions and see how it is all getting built out.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is a third-person, open-world story-driven detective thriller and acts as a prequel in the world-renowned detective’s personal story. A creative reimagining of what events could have led to Sherlock becoming the iconic sleuth many know today.
The game will release sometime in 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Were you expecting most of this for a game in the Sherlock Holmes line or did you think they would be going down a different path? Do you think that the 40+ hours is a generous estimate or will they get close to that and go beyond in the final build? How many branches do you think the story will be able to go down and will they keep the fully different narrative or still feel a little forced in the end? Give us all of that feedback down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you wish. If there is more for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, we will have it here on the site for you. Be sure to keep checking in for all of that and much more.
