The second part of Injustice 2’s Shattered Alliances trailer has been released and we get more heroes added to Injustice 2’s roster with a few more glimpses
Not too long ago we had a chance to see part one of the main Injustice 2 story that we will be fighting along in. It looked amazing and focused a lot more on the Superman side of the story but now we get to see just how the other half of the fight is living and fighting back as NetherRealm Studios has brought us the second part of it all. Not only that but it looks like we have a few new confirmed fighters for Injustice 2 and if you look hard enough you can see that there are a few others in the background. Things are truly starting to pick up here for the game as May 16th approaches us with the speed of the Flash.
This new Shattered Alliances trailer focuses on “Team Batman” as it would seem as the heroes are still broken down the middle in Injustice 2. Somehow Brainiac is still supposed to be the main villain here so maybe we’ll get a part three at some point and see that there is still one more hidden faction of heroes and villains that work on that side of the fence. None the less we do get to see that Green Arrow and Green Lantern are officially in Injustice 2, or at least more than just written down as teases, and it looks like the Lantern Core may be playing a larger role in this one too. That is if Batman actually talks to the Watchers as the trailer suggests.
Injustice 2 — Shattered Alliances Part 2
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today unveiled a new Injustice 2 trailer that casts a spotlight on the escalating conflict between Batman’s resistance and Superman’s regime. Players can witness the Caped Crusader and his unlikely allies battle imposing threats from all sides in Shattered Alliances Part 2.
In development by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 16th May 2017.
What is also interesting here is that we may have seen two more confirmed fighters for Injustice 2 if you paid close and semi-close attention here. The Reverse Flash can obviously be seen in action here and seeing as he was listed as an alternate “skin” for the bundles for the game, it is not too surprising. Funny enough though, if you blinked too fast at one point, specifically at the 1:20 mark, you may have missed that what looks like Captain Cold is in there next to Grodd and Ivy. He’s been a rumored character for some time now and it looks like we all but have him confirmed at this point. Unless that is some other character with a lot of different gear on to make it look like the Flash villain we know.
If you missed out on the first trailer for Injustice 2‘s story, we’ve included it here yet again so you can be fully up to speed; pun intended given all the Flash references. I have a feeling that we are going to get at least one more trailer like this to round out the Brainiac portion of the story as it has been pretty clear from NetherRealm Studios before that he is the ultimate villain of the story even though all of these trailers point to the Batman Vs. Superman kind of thing. I guess we’ll find out here soon. At least that is the hope.

How do you feel after seeing this new trailer for Injustice 2 and a few more characters shown off for the huge roster that is coming? Do you agree that there was Captain Cold in there or could that have been Blue Beetle or Cyborg with a lot of different gear on for some reason? Do you think that we will see a third faction of sorts given the Brainiac story already given so long ago, or will this be it and it is all just the engineering of that villain in the end? Let us know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As more for Injustice 2 is shown off, you bet we will have it here.
