Another update for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has been put out there and it gives us all an idea on why we won’t see Hellblade until sometime in 2017
It is a rare thing that we get two solid updates for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice in one week but it looks like this week has opted to deliver it all to us. I am not going to complain about this in the least bit as the more I can get on the game the better. The only real thing that we have to complain about here is that this is mostly Ninja Theory telling us why we won’t be seeing Hellblade until sometime in 2017 and not a whole lot more. I mean there are good reasons for it all; like the fact that they did help pioneer a few things for the game engine that we’ll be seeing elsewhere so it isn’t all that bad. But none the less we have the reasons now so we can try to calm down over it all.
Outside of the motion capture and audio capture tech they have brought to the play here with Hellblade it looks like there are a few other reasons as to why this huge title seems to be taking a lot longer than most others. Like the fact that we had an announcement for the game at almost the beginning phase of development and not a year or two in like most other AAA titles do. Mix that in with the fact that they are listening to players and a lot of other outside sources to make Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice the game and story we all want it is going to go through changes as we’ve seen since the start of it all. We can only fault ourselves for that one in the long run but I have faith it will bring us a better experience.
The humans over at Ninja Theory put together a fun little video as well to show us why we are waiting more for Hellblade. For those who can forgive and power through the explanation, you will be met with a bit more gameplay and looks at the game as it is still being developed. There are some pretty cool creatures and levels that are in the mix and should inspire even more faith in the team. It is short sweet and just about what I think we needed to keep the hype train rolling for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Watch and enjoy…
