Gord will now be on its way to some consoles this Summer and there is some new gameplay to enjoy for Gord
Gord has been left out there to grow and flourish in the mix of everything going on. This is a great thing, but also it feels like we might have been missing things along the way if we have not been just stalking the Covenant social accounts just for any kind of update. This is why you are here, I guess, if you needed something but did not have the solid time to dedicate out there. Now we have the update that Gord will be on its way to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in addition to the PC when it does finally get ready for the harvest this coming Summer. It is a short time until then, so it is now the time to start making plans.
Along with this announcement for Gord, there is also some new gameplay out there in the mix to help show off just how far the game has blossomed up to now. The dark fantasy strategy title is leaning more toward that here with a look at the basic things the colonists have at hand and how they are viewed by those above them. It is an interesting take on things, yet still shows off just how some new parts of the world of Gord will cause some extra conflict while we are just trying to manage our people. Have a look at why they call it what they do and get ready to see it shift a bit more to land better on the consoles this Summer.
Gord — They Call It The Gord
Team17 Digital and Covenant have announced that dark fantasy strategy game Gord will launch this summer and arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, alongside PC via the previously confirmed Steam version.
Created by a team that includes former Frostpunk and The Witcher 3 developers, Gord will see players command the Tribe of the Dawn and embrace the ethical complexity of leadership as they shepherd their community and protect them from invaders and monstrous beasts. They will need to oversee their citizens’ hunger, disease, and trauma, nurture their faith, and train them for battle, while also expanding their settlements – the titular ‘gords’ – and embarking on a variety of life-threatening quests.
Did you expect to see that Gord was going to come to the consoles or should it have always stayed as a PC title alone? Do you think the look at this narrative better describes what will be going on in the world of the game out there or is it just for show here? Do you think we will actually get to play out any of these combat scenes or will they boil down to just throwing numbers around in the background? Feel free to let us all know down in the comments what you are thinking and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish. We will keep the news for Gord growing on the site, so please keep an eye out for all of that and everything else that we can find to share.
