For Honor’s Closed Beta Has Now Been Dated As We Gear Up For War

For Honor — The Thin Red Path

The closed beta coming to For Honor has been dated now as well as the War Of The Factions mode in For Honor being part of the fun too

We all knew that the For Honor closed beta was going to be here before the end of the month and now it looks like we have a solid date on when exactly that is going to happen. It does look like Ubisoft is playing things a bit closer to launch here as the game does still launch on February 14th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and now the closed beta is slated for January 26th through to the 29th. That to me reads that they really want to do just a server stress test for the multiplayer of For Honor more than any kind of real balance to the game but maybe they will be able to take all of the collected data, compile it, and make the game tweaks just a few days before it is supposed to hit the streets. Way doubtful there.

To go along with the closed beta here, it looks like For Honor‘s “War of the Factions” event will also be kicking off to track all of the kills and wins each faction accumulates during the closed beta. All of which will gain you and your faction in-game rewards for slaying your enemies. What exactly these rewards will be has not been full defined but I’m going to guess they will be perks of some sort or cool little armor and design pieces to be added to your avatar in the overall war. At least we do know that whatever you earn during the closed beta will carry over to the full version of For Honor and only be achievable by those who take part in the closed beta fight.

For Honor — The Thin Red Path

Today, Ubisoft announced that the For Honor Closed Beta will be available from January 26th–29th on current-gen consoles and PC. Those still waiting to pledge their sword can sign up to have a chance to participate in the closed beta at forhonorgame.com/war.

Coinciding with the Closed Beta, Ubisoft is launching War of the Factions, a limited-time event which will help answer the question: When the mighty Vikings, deadly Samurai and bold Knights finally collide on the battlefield, who will reign supreme? War of the Factions will track all multiplayer activities across all platforms from all players during the Closed Beta, and will reward players for fighting for their factions and honor the winning faction with additional rewards. The rewards will transfer to the full game and only be available to Closed Beta participants.

You can still sign up to be part of For Honor‘s closed beta over at the game’s website and then hope that Ubisoft selects you for the battle. It doesn’t look like there is much in other ways to gain access to it all short of pre-ordering the game so go ahead and do one or the other and then most likely hope to be brought into the fold here. For Honor does look like it could be a blast and it’s only a few weeks now until the masses can see what we have here and then the world. Here’s hoping for you.

How jacked are you to get into For Honor‘s closed beta here? What kind of perks and rewards do you think we will get to plunder during this limited-time event that will also be going on during the beta? Do you think it is fair that only a select few will be able to earn all of these rewards or do you think these kinds of things should be left open to all of the gamers out there no matter their luck and time constraints for the beta? Let us know and then discuss down in the comments. For more on For Honor, be sure to stick around here as we’ll keep you just as informed as we are.
