A Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition is on its way to us so the next-generation systems can run Mortal Shell as best as possible
As was to be expected, we have a Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition on the way to bring the PS5 and Xbox Series X a new version of the game that will run natively on the consoles. This feels like it is going to be running news for the next year, but we definitely wanted to make sure everyone out there was aware of it. Also, because it looks as if Playstack is bringing it to us all on March 4th and not months from now. That and as a free upgrade for those that already own Mortal Shell on the PS4 and Xbox One. So far that has been mostly the trend too, but with the few outliers out there it is news that we need to make sure you know as well so you do not have to pay more for a game you already have been enjoying.
This enhanced edition for Mortal Shell will be bringing the game to these consoles in 4K resolution with the 60 fps that everyone is looking for. That is unless you are playing on the Xbox Series S then it will only be 30 fps. All of which through the upgraded textures and optimized game to make it worth the time to face the beasts again. If you are on the PS5, the beast will also offer up an array of immersion with the DualSense technology we can play around with. Some of which sounds like it will be the basics but others will include some feedback from fighting and using the core mechanic of Mortal Shell by swapping out sleaves. Have a look at how it will be upgraded and then get ready for it all to drop on you next week.
Mortal Shell — Reveal
Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition provides a superior spectacle of the game’s haunting beauty, with rich, meticulous details never seen before on consoles. Along with gorgeous upgraded textures and razor-sharp 4K resolution, it will deliver an uncompromised 60 frames per second gameplay on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. (Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition renders at 4K resolution and 30 frames per second on Xbox Series S.)
This remaster has been calibrated to take full advantage of the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller’s suite of immersive technologies. From the whispering sounds and heartbeat vibrations that resonate from your controller as you approach a new Shell, to the impact you feel in the palm of your hands as you utilize the harden mechanics, this enhanced edition gives PlayStation 5 owners a rich physical connection to the game’s dangerous and ruthless world like never before.
