The latest mega patch for Chernobylite is here to give us a new area to explore in Chernobylite with some other fun additions
There are some new things flowing out there for Chernobylite and you can get in on them all right now if you are in on the Early Access for the game and all. Obviously, this will all be something in the final build for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game if it continues to pan out and The Farm 51 also likes the changes. They need to be just as happy with Chernobylite when it is all said and done just as much as the fans and gamers out there. But now we are getting off topic as this is all about the new stuff that is out there in the game as you are reading this set of words.
You should be auto-updating, but now we know that the Mega Patch is here and bringing the Red Forest into the world of Chernobylite. This is a whole new level to explore in the world that is famously known for having all those radioactive trees. Also all of the other horrors the game’s world holds. You can see a bit more of it in action just below, as well as the other changes coming to Chernobylite with this update. Things like UI changes, a Free Play mode, and technological updates are in there to enjoy. The new area is the biggest part for now, though.
Chernobylite — Red Forest
Just as developers promised when sharing the Roadmap with players, the Red Forest mega-patch is now live! The update introduces – apart from the new area – Base Storage, Free Play Mode, and optimization tweaks. Recently, we enriched the game with a new firearm, the Assault Rifle, a weapon customization system, new crafting items, and tools. And that’s not all that happened these past few weeks – the game has also been localized in several additional languages.
Mega Patch Additions:
- The Red Forest — A whole new level to explore. Visit the famous radioactive forest and complete missions in hazardous surroundings.
- Changes in the Base — Players can now manage their loot using the Storage system and customize their weapons. Many changes and improvements were made to the UI and mechanics based on community feedback, e.g., the feeding system.
- Free Play Mode — This mode will allow players to choose any location in a given weather configuration, select the available missions there, turn random events on or off, or even start the game with all available weapons and skills!
- Framerate improvements — The game’s continuously optimized and now performs much better, even on PCs with lower specs. Although there’s still a lot to do, players will already feel the difference!
Have you been enjoying Chernobylite so far or have you only been watching the videos while waiting for the full release? Is it a great sign that we are seeing more locations added into the mix and how many more will we see over the course of it all? What other horrors do you think will be lurking out there and when will we get to see them? Let us know your thoughts on all of this and more down in the comments and discuss away. As more updates for Chernobylite come out, we will keep updating you all here. All you have to do is keep checking back and seeing how it all evolves.
