The wait for ELEX looks to be a little shorter than we all thought as the released date for ELEX has been set down and not too far off
To me it feels like we are only now getting to know ELEX and just what the game could bring us when all is said and done. Maybe I was a little bit late to the part to check out this new title from Piranha Bytes or maybe I was too focused on other IPs that THQ Nordic has for us in the coming months and years. Either way, ELEX caught my attentions and now I am glad to see that it will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 17th now. Yes, we now have a solid release date for the game and hopefully it stays that way as we always need more titles to break up the cold and slow months.
Not only do we have a nice little release date for ELEX now, and yes we have a new trailer as always for these kinds of announcements, but it looks like there is also a Collector’s Edition for the game coming as well. Not too surprising in general as it is the case for most games now, but it looks like ELEX is going to cash in on it too and bring us a nice little statue for the game and all kinds of other goodies for a bit of an inflated price over the standard edition of the game. Again, the usual fair for us all at this point but it is nice to see titles that haven’t captured the mass attention of the gamers out there to be getting the full AAA treatment none the less.
All the full details for ELEX‘s Collector’s Edition can be seen below. Also, as mentioned, we have that new trailer for the game to gaze upon as we figure out if we are going to pre-order or not. It is a cinematic trailer and none of it real gameplay. It does however show off a bit of how ELEX‘s world will look as well as how each of the three factions in the game will have their own outlook and style as well. More or less it brings the overall theme and tone of ELEX and we should be getting some new gameplay here in the next few weeks. Do enjoy.
ELEX — Official CGI Trailer
Watch the Cinematic Trailer for ELEX now! Moving to the beat of Benj Heard’s “Whatever Doesn’t Kill Me (Better Run)”, the video sets up the road at the heart of the player’s journey, as they walk the line between the many character progression and faction choices that lay ahead.
We finally got a Release Date for you. ELEX will be out on October 17, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC!
Still more? Last but not least, the Collector’s Edition for ELEX includes:
- A 10-inch-high figurine of an Alb Mage
- A 2-inch amulet in the form of a combat drone
- A cloth map, showing the world of Magalan
- The original score on CD
- An artbook
- The game’s manual
- The game itself, obviously
Has anything changed for you on the ELEX front here or does the inclusion of the bigger edition have you chomping at the bit to get the game? Do you think that October is going to be supersaturated with titles again or will there be such a spread that it will just fill all gamers up and leave no room? Would you have rather seen other options in the Collector’s Edition or do you think this is good and safe? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on ELEX though, be sure to stay locked into the site here. We’ll have more and you’ll hopefully want to see it.
