Don’t Expect To See South Park: The Fractured But Whole Before April Now

South Park: The Fractured But Whole — E3 2016

It looks like South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed again as this new South Park title has been pushed off of a Q1 2017 list now

It does not look like South Park: The Fractured But Whole is catching any breaks with actually making it to a release date as it looks like the game has been hit with yet another delay. Originally it was slated to land just in time for the Christmas holiday, it would have made the perfect gift, as it was set to release on December 6th. That date has come and gone and we were all set to head back into South Park before the end of March as the release date was slated as Q1 of 2017. Now in a released fiscal year report from Ubisoft it has been pushed out to the fiscal year of 2017.

What this actually means for those who are not here with a degree in all of it is that South Park: The Fractured But Whole could now release as early as April of 2017 or as late as March of 2018. So this could really be only a month delay or so or it could be up to another year before we are playing super heroes with our favorite kids and characters from the quite, little mountain town. It does give us all more time to enjoy the re-release of South Park: The Stick Of Truth though so there is at least a brighter side to it all. If you are interested in playing that game multiple times and from other character’s perspectives for now.

Of course, as of right now there have been zero reason given for the delay of South Park: The Fractured But Whole. I’d like to think that this is just to allow the studios and writers more time to work in all of the more recent events in the world and show through side quests and the like. But also given that we haven’t seen much on the other character classes shown and that we have a lot more of them than before, this could also be the teams working on making them all feel balanced and planned out well. If anything, we should look at this and just be happy that South Park hasn’t been canceled and just only hit with hopefully a small delay.

I know as of right now most gamers will start to get worried, especially if they already pre-ordered the game, on if The Fractured But Whole will ever make it to market. With that all I have to say is look back at The Stick Of Truth and how rocky it was to finally come out. It was delayed for almost two years before finally coming to market. Of course South Park: The Fractured But Whole isn’t going through any of the publisher falling apart kind of ordeal that its predecessor did, but seeing as the guys behind the game are so passionate about it and giving us all a great experience I am sure we’ll see it in all of its glory soon.

How do you feel about the delay of South Park: The Fractured But Whole as it stands right now? Do you think that it is to add more content into the game as the team is generally against DLC and won’t want to force fans to buy stuff that could have been in the full title? Do you think this comes down to gameplay not performing as expected and something fundamentally wrong with that aspect of the game? Let us know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As we learn more on South Park: The Fractured But Whole, we will bring it to you. Be sure to keep checking into the site to keep up on all of the news and updates.
