Another character for Injustice 2 has been revealed and it looks like we can look forward to Injustice 2 housing a new version of Black Canary
Here we go with hopefully the bum-rush of character reveals for Injustice 2 as today we get to see that Black Canary will be leaping onto the scene and dispatching her brand of violence on the world. Yes, this is the character that NetherRealm Studios teased us with earlier in the week and now she is here to show off all of her battle prowess. Not only just in name and look, but we also get to see some new Injustice 2 gameplay with her kicking ass and not so much taking names. Although it does look like there is a namedrop or two in there to show how the Canary links up to the rest of the game’s characters.
Of course this isn’t the character that a lot of people thought was coming given how the tease was presented before, but I know I am excited to see more of Black Canary in Injustice 2. Although I guess what we have just below will have to suffice for now. Unless she gets added into the current beta test for the multiplayer portion of the game. Then we will see a whole lot more and maybe see if she can mirror the popularized version in the Arrowverse. At least that would be my personal preference. For now let’s see just what she has to offer to the fight.
Injustice 2 — Black Canary
Black Canary screeches onto the scene in this Injustice 2 gameplay reveal trailer.
I do have to say that she does look like she a bit on the slower side of combat here in Injustice 2. Even with the footage being captured to show off her skills it looks like there are some long delays for some things to fire off and would require players to just be standing around. Not generally the case in fighting games like this but we just need to hope that NetherRealm Studios knows what it is doing and that they will see things progress as development for Injustice 2 pushes on until that fateful day in May. There is still a lot of time to perfect everything and it really looks like just numbers need tweaking to me.
Were you expecting Black Canary to be the next fighter to join Injustice 2 here or was it a complete surprise to you? Did she look like she was a bit on the slow side or was it just a weird way that the video was cut here? Do we still need to hold out hope that Spawn and maybe Constantine will be making it into the final version of the game? Let us know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss as you wish. For more on Injustice 2 and the characters that are coming, be sure to stick around here as we’ll keep bringing you all of the great updates and reveals as they come.
