The final video for Resident Evil 7 making of series has released and shows us just of Resident Evil 7’s iconic house was crafted in many ways
All good things come to an end and as it seems, the Resident Evil 7 making of videos are now wrapped up as the final one has just dropped. All of this was Capcom‘s way to show us how the game was made to scare us all a bit more but also to help bridge the gap as we wait for the next additions to the game to come. There is still another free story mission for Resident Evil 7 to come and the Season Pass content is only halfway done if my numbers are right. None the less we have more of the game to look forward to and now we can see how things were crafted to give us all the experience we have enjoyed; or should really go out and enjoy if you haven’t yet.
This new video for Resident Evil 7 breaks down the audio and world design that the team went through to give us all our cheap scares. Okay, they weren’t really cheap, but it’s the phrase that fit for now. None the less, we get to see more on how the mansion was originally planned with less of the exotic puzzles and locks to figure out in the game and the sound design that added the extra level of tension in Resident Evil 7. Yes, originally the house was only going to have locks and puzzles based on things that could block us in the real world but as the gameplay suffered from it, they went with a classic Resident Evil way with it. They don’t make sense in the real world and would make life a pain for those not trying to escape, but it makes for a better game so I’ll take it.
Since we are all waiting for the next DLC to drop for Resident Evil 7, I’d take a watch and see how the game was crafted. The only disturbing part I had here is now knowing that Capcom injured many pineapples in the making of the flesh hacking sequences of the game. I’ll never be able to get that image out of my head no matter how many times I get cut in Resident Evil 7 from now until the end. Why destroy something so delicious? To make a great game I guess would be the easy answer…
