Fans of The Matrix should be excited to see that we have The Matrix Awakens to blow our minds with a new experience
This might be getting a little more meta out there for The Matrix here out of The Game Awards this year. Not only do we have a new film trailer and some of the cast showing up to present during the show, but we have a new experience that will take us deeper into the IP here. A new experience was made with the Unreal Engine 5 and what looks like the Metahuman software. Get ready to enjoy The Matrix Awakens on the PS5 and Xbox Series X here. Well, later in the week when it drops on us after the bigger showcase that is coming. Especially after seeing how the tease we have is looking and getting us all ready for some mind-blowing visuals to experience.
There is not much more to go on for it, besides being able to preload The Matrix Awakens on the systems right now. What we do have is a very detailed rendering of Keanu Reeves introducing it to us that looks almost life-like. It does look like a rendering just a bit, but it is one of the more photorealistic visuals that some of us have seen out there. Something I have was recorded live and not pre-rendered. That would be the bigger reveal for The Matrix Awakens than just giving us something fun to look at and experience before the film drops out there. I guess we will know more after the award show and be able to get deeper into all of the extra levels that will be coming.
The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience — Teaser
Get ready for a glimpse into the future of interactive storytelling and entertainment with UE5.
Created by members of the original movie team including Lana Wachowski along with Epic Games and partners, The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience is a wild ride into the reality-bending universe of ‘The Matrix’ that features performances by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Do you think this will be an ad for the upcoming Matrix film or could this be something deeper for us all to have? Will this just be a showcase of how UE5 will be able to handle characters moving forward or will there be something to truly do with it all? Will we all be shocked to find out that this was the real person out there and not a digital recreation or will they try to make sure we can never tell to go further into the theme of the IP? Let everyone out there know what you are thinking and then feel free to discuss it all if you wish. When we have more for The Matrix Awakens, we will share it all here. Just be sure to keep an eye out for all of that and much more.
