Walk Into The Latest Gameplay That We Have For Where Dolls Hang

Where Dolls Hang — Gameplay

Enjoy more gameplay for Where Dolls Hang, as we get ready to see Where Dolls Hang out at ENDIX Expo 2026

With more events coming up, it looks as if we’re getting a little more of the gameplay on the way for Where Dolls Hang. Well, not really on the way, but more like Steelkrill Studio has offered up a smaller look at the game before it has a bigger showing during the ENDIX Expo. That’s where they will have a larger booth to show off the game, along with a lot of gameplay to behold during the event. Those of us who aren’t making it out for that, though, we have a little more to look at for Where Dolls Hang from our homes as we wait for 2027 to come and give us the title on the PC. Let’s have a look and see what new horrors are lurking in the Island Of The Dolls.

While we do have more gameplay for Where Dolls Hang, we don’t have much in the way of context for what we’re seeing here. We are getting a bit of our protagonist heading to the Island, roaming about some of the real-world locations that inspired the maps of the game, a little bit of the spooky vibes to it all, and wrapped in some of the combat that we can expect to have in the game. Even if it does look as if we’re going to have more melee combat instead of firearms. That’s perfectly fine, though; the creatures we’re going to be facing do look as if they’re going to be a true threat in Where Dolls Hang. Seeing as they move quickly and rather lithely in the world. All of that is going to lead to some frantic gameplay, for sure, but that’s kind of the fun we have in these kinds of horror games. Have a look and see what is coming at us all very soon, even if we can’t make it to the show.

Where Dolls Hang — Gameplay

Where Dolls Hang draws inspiration from Isla de las Muñecas, a real-life location situated within the canals of Xochimilco in Mexico City.

Famous for the hundreds of dolls hanging from trees, buildings, and surrounding structures, the island has become one of Mexico’s most unusual and unsettling attractions. Its eerie appearance and the folklore surrounding its origins have fascinated visitors for decades.

Taking inspiration from this real-world location, Steelkrill Studio has created an original fictional setting that combines Mexican folklore, psychological horror, and a disturbing mystery waiting to be uncovered.

While the game’s story is entirely fictional, its atmosphere is heavily influenced by the unsettling imagery and legends associated with the real Island of the Dolls.

Bringing Real Photographs Into a Fictional Nightmare

One of the game’s more unusual features is its integration of real-world photography into the fictional environment. Several dolls and objects appearing throughout Where Dolls Hang have been recreated as 3D models based on real photographs. Some of the original photographs can also be discovered within the game itself.

This allows players to encounter a disturbing object in the game before potentially finding the real photograph that inspired its creation, further blurring the boundary between fiction and reality.

The game also features discoverable VHS tapes containing real classic films such as Night of the Living Dead. These tapes can be inserted into televisions and watched directly within the game world, providing an additional layer of immersion.

Of course, whatever might be lurking inside the house won’t necessarily wait for the movie to finish… so players should be careful if they think they can enjoy a movie in peace.

Does all of this scratch your itch for Where Dolls Hang? Do you think we’ll find guns and ammo as we wander the spooky island of dolls? How will the VHS tapes expand the world, or will they just be fun collectibles to watch in the game? How many different creatures do you think we’re going to have to face off against in the world? Let’s discuss all of that down in the comment section of the page. We’ll keep on adding more for Where Dolls Hang as we get more to add. You’ll just have to keep on watching the site for all of those updates and follow along on all of our socials to see when that all goes live out there. You’ll be glad that you did. I know I’m always glad to see more and then share it with all of our community.
