An open playtest is here for LAG KILLS, and there are many more updates added into the loop of LAG KILLS
The playtests continue for LAG KILLS, as we have another one just about to kick off out there. Another one that is still open to the public, but will bring a whole lot of new updates Deranged Games has been working on since it first kicked off back in April. That is what the latest update for LAG KILLS is going to tell us, so we can head back into the creepy home of a pissed-off gamer and try to survive. Survive is the key word here, as there are now many more things that will make that a little harder for us to do. That, and offer up a few new ways to help us out when we find ourselves in a pinch. Let us all have a look at what has been added in for this new test that is kicking off.
There are many new updates coming to LAG KILLS for those who have made it into the playtest as of now. There are more hiding spots, and new building features added into the mix to make things a little easier for us to make sure we are not spotted in the game. There are also new pitfalls that will have us falling through floors in this rundown house, which could be both a boon and a hindrance, depending on how you look at it. In addition to all of that, LAG KILLS has a whole new UI system for us to use, which gives us a health bar to help keep track of things. There is also a new inventory system that will not only let us scrounge up things, but inspect them all when we are able to do so safely. All this, plus some new cutscenes and jump scares to help make the game just a little more frightening as we head into the spookiest of seasons here.
LAG KILLS — Open Playtest
Players take on the role of a desperate intruder who breaks into what they believe to be an empty house, only to discover that the owner is home, lagging badly, and angry. The objective is simple: know when to loot, know when to hide, and try to escape before he catches you.
Players can request access directly through the LAG KILLS Steam page. The current open playtest marks an important milestone for LAG KILLS, being the last build update to the single-player update before game development shifts toward co-op.
The latest LAG KILLS playtest introduces several new features and improvements, including:
- Fully playable level with new hiding spots
- Playable lobby featuring a new building and placement system
- In-game shop with upgrades and accessories
- Inventory system with item inspection
- UI overhaul for improved player experience
- Gameplay and performance optimizations
- More jumpscares to keep players on edge
- New lights-out sequence featuring new cutscenes and unique gameplay towards the end of the level.
These updates deliver a more developed single-player experience players can try out during the playtest.
Are you still playing the playtest for LAG KILLS, or will these new updates be what pull you back into the game again? How often will we fall through the ceiling in the game, and will it ever be for a good reason as we are running away from this killer? How detailed will the building and environment object placement be, and how long before players learn how to use the loopholes in this to make life way easier to enjoy out there? Let us have those thoughts in the comment section down the page here so we can all discuss it. There will be more to come for LAG KILLS, I am sure of it, and you will want to watch the website for all of those updates and more. You will want to follow all of our social channels, as well, so you are never in the dark about when these updates flow out there to you all.
