The console version of Mouthwashing is on the way, and we will have the ability to play Mouthwashing before the end of the month
After two years of dominating the PC market, it looks like Mouthwashing will finally head to consoles. Specifically, the title that Wrong Organ and Critical Reflex made so long ago will be hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch when it is ready to bring us some new frights. That might sound like we are going to need to wait a crazy long time to get Mouthwashing out there, but that’s not going to be the case. The console version of this title is currently slated for October 29th. Right before the big Halloween night, so you’ll have yet another bit of horror to keep you in and up during that long night. Let’s see what all of this is going to mean for the console gamers out there.
Those who’ve been living off the internet for the past few years might have missed out on the Mouthwashing craze when it first happened. It felt like every streamer out there was going through this narrative game, but we’ll try to catch you up so you’re ready for the console release next week. In the game, we are part of a crew of a space freighter that has gone off course. We don’t know why or if we’ll be saved, but we do know that resources are running low and that’s causing all manner of things to happen with the crew. It’s then our job to survive through the immersive narrative of the Mouthwashing to see if we can figure out what happened, and maybe make it through the starvation and insanity that is coming from the isolation of the vast emptiness. All of which, with a retro-style set of visuals and a gripping world, will pull us all deeper into the darkness of the situation. You can see a bit of a tease for all of this in the following video that we have to help announce this pending release.
Mouthwashing — Console Release Date
When an interplanetary shipping freighter goes off course, its five crew members find themselves stranded with a diminishing supply of resources. As they face the threat of starvation and endure crippling isolation, the crew must battle paranoia and hallucinations as they come to realize the question is not whether they will survive, but when they will perish… and who is responsible. The award-winning Mouthwashing arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 & 5, and Nintendo Switch on October 29.

Did you have a chance to play Mouthwashing on the PC before now? Will the console release push things forward for more to come from the IP? Will this be a quick title you’ll power through to say you have been able to experience all of it by this Halloween? How long until this indie title is made into a big-budget film out there for us all to watch play out now? Let’s discuss all of that and everything else that’s going on in the world at large. We’ll see what else we might have for Mouthwashing as we head into the new release of the game out there. It’s not likely that there will be much, but if there is, we’ll have it on the site and share it across all of our socials out there. Just be sure to keep on watching all of this as it plays out. You’ll be glad that you stuck with it all, or at least stuck with us on this larger journey.
