The Star Wars universe launches into a new racing era with the release of Star Wars: Galactic Racer
The wait is over, and we’re finally kicking off some of the new races out there with the launch of Star Wars: Galactic Racer on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We’ve been waiting a good chunk of time to get something like this, and Fuse Games, along with Secret Mode, have finally offered it all up to us. All of that means that you might have moved on from reading any of these updates to hop into the pilot seat for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, but if you’re still here, let’s have one last look at the title to pull us all further into the galaxy once more. As if the IP really needed to do that to grab those of us massive fans out there to give pod racing another try. Even if that’s not the main focus of this racing title we now have in our hands.
All the pod racing aside, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is here and offers up much more than that for the fans of the IP. Not only do we have the chance to race some of the classic and iconic ships from the universe, and race them in locations that the films and shows have made popular, but we’re also getting a chance to make our own vehicle in the game. That way we can head into the various races out there in the Star Wars universe, while also competing for our own fame and fortune in the mix. Toss in some story, and a bit of the leaderboards to go up and down in, and we have another solid racing title to enjoy out there. Even if some of the voices and characters can get a bit grating on the ears when we have to listen to them multiple times over. If you’re still on the fence about picking this one, have a look at the following video and see if this is going to be the race that fully pulls you back into the IP. It does look to be a very strong contender with what we’ve had over the past decade; that’s for sure.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer — Launch Trailer
Fuse Games and Secret Mode, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, have announced the launch of Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The critically acclaimed Star Wars run-based racing adventure is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Amazon Luna.
In Star Wars: Galactic Racer, elite pilots compete in the Galactic League, an underground racing circuit born in the lawless Outer Rim. Established by racing enthusiast Darius Pax, underhanded and well-connected racer Kestar Bool has become the Galactic League’s champion and will stop at nothing to maintain his grip on the title. With nowhere else to turn, Pax recruits Shade, a lone racer with a personal grudge against the Bool family, to enter the Galactic League and bring an end to Kestar’s reign before his corruption grows too deep to remove.

Are you glad to see that Star Wars has not given up on the racing games? How do you think the main stories of the IP will flood into the races we are partaking in? Will you be skipping some of the story elements to get past the voices and into the racing? How badass will our ships be when compared to those iconic ones that have been around for decades? Let’s hear it all out in the comment section of the page here. We’ll see what else we have for Star Wars: Galactic Racer now that it is racing into our homes out there. Please watch the site and all of our socials to see when we have anything new to offer up to all of our fans out there for it. Then we can also hope that we get another great title in the IP that falls outside of the general racing and Force combat titles we’ve had for a long while now.
