A new look at Control Resonant was given out at gamescom to show how Dylan will alter things in the Control universe
We are now in the final stretches of the cycle for Control Resonant now that gamescom has come and gone, but there is still so much more to look forward to for the game. September 24th is going to hit us so much faster than we could have expected, so Remedy is kicking things up to get us all ready for the game to land on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. At least, kicking things up in terms of building up the hype for the game to show us how Dylan will alter things in the Control world. Not that it has not already been altered pretty heavily by things bleeding into the world. It is just that this new look at the game shows off how more of this will keep the pacing of the action at an all-time high. Let us all get hyped up.
Those looking for new or different gameplay that we have had for Control Resonant already are going to be a little left out for this one. Now that it is a terrible look at the game that we had during the opening night of things, all we get is a lot more of Dylan rushing around Manhattan out there, and slaying all of the entities that he can along the way. Using more of the melee weapons and special powers that we have known him to use already. The twist to it all does seem to be that we are going to have the altered states of being in Control Resonant. These look like they will be the way that Dylan charges up and uses some of the otherworldly abilities at his disposal out there. I could be wrong, but that is how the following video does make it all feel. You can have a look at all of that just a bit further down the page and see just how things will flow out there. Not to mention, some of the altered states that the Oldest House looks to be in.
Control Resonant — Altered State
Manhattan is overrun. Humanity’s defenses have fallen. Dylan Faden is all we have left. But does someone who was once branded a monster really have what it takes to save us?
In Control Resonant, enter altered Manhattan. Take back the city. Take back control. Save your sister, regain your humanity.
BUCKLE UP.
Control Resonant arrives September 24th, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Mac via Steam and the App Store. Wishlist now.
Would it have been nice to get a lot more shown for Control Resonant out of gamescom, or is it good to keep more of the mystery going just ahead of launch? Will there be a true altered state of being in the game for Dylan, or is that just a fun description about how he is tapping into the powers he will have? Are we going to get to explore any of the Oldest House beyond what we see here, or will most of the game be in the streets and other realms that the universe has now pulled in? Let us have all of those thoughts and discussion in the comment section down the page here. We will see if we get more for Control Resonant as we get closer to that release date out there. I am sure we will, so you will want to watch the website and all of our social channels to make certain you do not miss a single update. Just a few more weeks and we will get to see truly how things have been altered out there.
