Black Myth: Zhong Kui Slices Up Some New & Long Gameplay For Us To Enjoy

Black Myth: Zhong Kui — 15 Minutes Gameplay

Head back into the world of Black Myth, with a lot of new gameplay to dissect into with Black Myth: Zhong Kui

It seems to be that time of year again, as we get more for Black Myth: Zhong Kui to look at out there. I say that, as it does seem that Game Science does like to give us massive drops right before or around Gamescom, and they did not disappoint here with the latest for it all. In fact, we have fifteen minutes of gameplay footage and cinematics to enjoy for Black Myth: Zhong Kui. All to build the hype up for the game to launch on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when it is ready to go. Even if it does feel as if things are going to be shifting quite a bit from the gameplay that we have grown to love from the previous title that we have had to enjoy in the past. Let us all have a long look at what is on the way for us with all of this.

Here we get to see our new protagonist in Black Myth head out on a new journey into the world to help out as needed. It is still a world of myth and lore, but the combat does feel as if it is shifting into more of a dodge and parry kind of thing than we might have been expecting. Especially as our protagonist does look to be more of a samurai than we had with the Monkey King before. That is not a terrible thing, but worth taking note of to get ready for Black Myth: Zhong Kui. Even if it does look like we will have many more elemental attacks and the ability to summon a shadow version to help out and combine with in the mix. It is hard to truly tell, as most of this is raw gameplay with little explanation out there. If there is one thing we need to take away, the world will be full of all manner of mythical beasts and creatures along with the flowing combat that we should be expecting. Enough of all of that, have a look at just what is on the way to us all soon.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui — 15 Minutes Of Gameplay

With blood beneath my blade, I paint new rouge upon my face.

An old friend visits, in a dream taking place.

Old faces, bygone deeds, have vanished from my sight.

Still, I remember every one, by day and through the night.

Those bound by love grow old; the righteous road runs long; Today’s notes of grace or grudge define not the final song.

Who says the Underworld is far away? All the better—once more I’ll walk along.

Today, Game Science unveils a brand-new 15-minute gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the second title in the Black Myth series. The trailer offers a first look at the protagonist in combat, along with a glimpse of the story.

As the game is still in early development, all footage was captured in-game from a work-in-progress build running at a 21:9 aspect ratio. The final release may differ.

Are you excited to see where Black Myth is going after all of the new gameplay, or does it feel like things have shifted from what you were expecting before all of this? Will the combat flow just as smoothly as we have seen in the other title, or will this be a new take on things to keep the protagonist feeling new from all of the others we have experienced? How deep do you think the elemental attacks in the game are going to go, and will there be more of the shadow versions to help us to take down some of these bigger enemies we are going to find out there? Let us discuss that in the comment section as we wait to see more for the game. I have a feeling that we will see more out of Gamescom and the Tokyo Games Show for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, so join us as we have more to drop out there. It will be all over the website and all of our social channels, so you will want to make certain you are watching all of those going forward.
