The playtest for QUIET is out on PC, and we can see if gamers can finally play a game where they need to stay QUIET
Another alien invasion is underway out there, as we now have the playtest ready to go for those looking to play QUIET on the PC. The first public playtest for the game has kicked off, and LINE Games needs to have us all hammer away on the game to help make sure it flows as well as it can. You’ll just need to be into the whole alien invasion, heist, and microphone capture video games out there to fully enjoy it all. Even if it does look like some of that is not as it seems on the surface for QUIET. I’m talking about the ducks we are going to play as, and the possessed human that seems to be able to hunt us all down as we are trying to make it through the whole thing. Yes, all of that sounds a bit unhinged, but we can have a better look at it all and give it a play right now.
Okay, all of that might have come across a little odd, so here’s what is going on in QUIET. It is a co-op game where 1 to 4 players crash-land on Earth as one of the various alien ducks on the ship. The spaceship has lost some parts, and we need to find them within a seemingly normal house. From there, our little team needs to search the place while making sure the human within doesn’t find them. All while having the real-world audio and in-game audio used to alert the game’s AI to hunt us all down and make our insides our outsides. Hence, to an extent, the name QUIET. Even if it does also have more of the teamwork and other stealth gameplay mixed in, and the core gameplay looks like it can be bypassed if we’re clever enough. We can know for certain by hopping into the playtest that is going on as you are finishing up on reading all of these words. Have a little look and get out there to play it.
QUIET — Playtest Now Open
Keep your beaks shut and your flock close. Publisher LINE Games has officially launched the first public playtest for QUIET, the upcoming 1–4 player online co-op horror game where every sound could be your last. Players can jump into the playtest today and experience the game’s unique blend of stealth, teamwork, and comedy alongside a brand-new gameplay trailer.
After crash-landing on Earth, a flock of alien ducks must recover the missing parts of their spaceship from inside a seemingly ordinary house. The catch? The homeowner can hear every movement, every dropped object, and every real-world sound picked up through your microphone. Staying alive means staying QUIET.
About QUIET:
- Search For Ship Parts: Explore the house, recover the components needed to repair your ship, and escape before you’re discovered.
- Every Sound Matters: Movement, dropped objects, and even your real-world voice can alert the homeowner. A microphone is required.
- Work Together Or Go Down Together: Coordinate with up to three other players, but remember that one noisy mistake can put the entire flock in danger.
- A Horror Co-op Unlike Any Other: Balance stealth, teamwork, and chaotic duck antics as you struggle to survive against an ever-listening threat.
Is this what you were expecting when you heard about the game called QUIET? Why do you think we’re going to be playing as alien ducks instead of any of the other things that we could be playing as? Will there be some kind of detection to see if we have unplugged our mics while playing the game? Why is the human possessed in the game, or will that just be how we aliens are seeing it all play out in the game? Let’s hear it all out in the comment section down the page here. We’ll see what else we can find for QUIET, and maybe give the test a little go. If all of this interests you, then you can follow along on the site and all of our socials to see if it will be a title that will pull you into a new universe of horror and Sci-Fi out there.
